The advice that broke my client’s relationship with her son, and what Human Design showed her instead.
“Be consistent. Hold firm. Don’t let them walk all over you.”
She followed every piece of advice in the book. And every week her 16-year-old pulled further away.
When we looked at his Human Design chart, we saw a Projector: a type that absolutely shuts down under pressure and unsolicited guidance.
The more she pushed the ‘standard’ approach, the more he withdrew.
He needed to be invited.
He needed space to be seen, not managed.
She shifted.
She stopped giving advice he hadn’t asked for.
She started asking him things she was genuinely curious about.
Within a month, he was talking to her again. Generic parenting advice isn’t wrong. It’s just not written for your specific teenager. That’s the whole point of Human Design.
Want to really understand your teen’s Human Design?
Inside The Teen Years Sanctuary we have resources to help you read and understand their chart.
