The more you can get yourself vertically aligned, the more easily you can move in any direction, the greater your freedom of movement.
Stand for a moment and notice how your pelvis, your trunk and your head stack up on top of each other. Shift your weight a small amount to your toes and then your heels. And then more onto your right foot and your left foot ... what do you learn about your vertical alignment?
