The EAUN represents approx. 3,000 nurses, all working in urological care.

It is a lively, dynamic organisation with a focus on the importance of excellent urological nursing, especially for the patient. As the representative body for European nurses in urology we aim to foster the highest standards of urological nursing care throughout Europe and to facilitate the continued development of urological nursing in all its aspects. The latest developments in the nurses’ fields of interest are discussed at the International EAUN Meeting, which coincides with the Annual EAU Congress.

🏆 Congratulations to Marta Marchetti for winning the -EAUN25 Poster Competition with the paper:
"PEE05: Emergency in Theatre: Does Professional Role Influence Perceived Competence?"

Ms. Eleonora presented the results of a pilot study on perceived preparedness in robotic emergencies yesterday in London, UK. This project on emergency simulation in robotic surgery marks an exciting step forward in advancing patient safety.

The Scandinavian Congress of Urology took place in Gothenburg, Sweden, in early June. The EAUN was represented by members from several Scandinavian countries, including board members Rikke Knudsen and Lisbeth Leinum, as well as Bente Thoft Jensen, the chair of the Bladder Cancer Special Interest Group. During the congress, they presented their work on a national educational strategy for nurses administering intravesical therapy. Read the full article in the comments below.

Interested in robotics? At the -EAUN25 Robotic Urology Nursing Meeting, one of several new robotic systems to be demonstrated as part of the scientific programme is the Da Vinci 5. Prof. Michael Stifelman, MD will be performing a case via satellite and sharing his experiences with the system over the past one and a half years.
