In 2005 kwam het boek “Terug naar de Basis” op de markt. Een uitgever wilde dit in 2012 herdrukken. ik zag dat niet zitten omdat de duivensport meer gebaad zou zijn met een volledig nieuw boek over de medische begeleiding van de duivensport. Dit temeer omdat de inzichten met betrekking tot de medische begeleiding, ook door de veranderende wetgeving, sterk aan verandering onderhevig waren. We hebben daarom een geheel nieuw boek geschreven.

Het is een full color boek geworden van 208 bladzijden, waarin aandacht besteed wordt aan de ziektezorg, gezondheidszorg en de prestatiezorg. Enkele paragrafen zijn gewijd aan de pestkopbacterie en alle achtergronden zoals die tot nu bekend zijn.
