On the Bench (actually just off the bench): A Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul. It had a headstock break with little glue surface, so I glued in a backstrap to reinforce the area. I also replaced the headstock overlay which was broken in several pieces and had material missing.

Here is a new guitar I designed, which I call Flat5. It is my personal contemporary jazz take on a Tele style instrument. Thanks to the solid bookmatched ceder top, it has much more acoustic volume than your typical Tele Thinline, which is reflected in the plugged-in sound as well. This guitar has a neck pickup only, ’cause that’s all you jazzers need.

This Gibson Les Paul Firebrand was brought in for refretting and slimming down the neck. Strangely, the neck was asymmetrically shaped, not with a fatter bass side -which is the usual way for sn asymmetrical neck), but with a fatter treble side. I also fixed up some chewed-up parts of the fingerboard.

Guitar tech nerdiness alert :)
The lid of the this bass' battery compartment was missing, and the owner wanted a compartment without that pesky battery clip. If routing was necessary, that would be ok. I happened to have this Gotoh in stock that actually fits in the existing cavity, but is it was shorter. Rather than filling part of the cavity with wood, I decided to remove the top part of the original holder and graft it on the new one.
