Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
β¨
In preparation for a recent surgery, my surgeon & I discussed hyperbarics. We agreed it would be beneficial based on my history & wanting to optimize the healing phase overall! ππΌ
β¨
One option was to go to a center and do 3-5 one hour sessions after surgery. I also spoke to my regular doctor & she had a hyperbaric chamber at her office that she was willing to rent to me!
β¨
The HBOT hard chambers can deliver more pressurized oxygen, but the mild HBOT soft chambers have their perks too.
β¨
Traditional HBOT (Hard chamber)π₯
- Requires 60-120 minute sessions
- Schedule appts
- Drive 30+ minutes each way
- More expensive
- Higher amount of pressure & oxygen concentration
β¨
Mild HBOT (Soft chamber) π₯
- Ideally use up to 3 hours/day
- Can use device whenever, no wait
- Convenient
- More cost effective
- Doesnβt contain as much oxygen or pressure as the hard chamber
β¨
Some of the benefits of HBOT:
β’ Wound healing
β’ Circulation
β’ Bruising
β’ Chronic fatigue
β’ Brain fog
β’ Anemia
β’ Autoimmune conditions
β’ Sports Recovery
β’ Help body recover to baseline after general anesthesia
β¨
ππΌ Step in & turn on to fill with filtered oxygen. There are two zippers separated by a sealing layer.
ππΌ You can feel your ears pop as the pressure changes in the first few min (and while deflating).
ππΌ Once itβs fully inflated, itβs super solid & roomy. ππΌ The machine is a little loud, so I bring noise cancelling headphones.
β¨
The benefits of HBOT are cumulative. They say the standard is 20-40 Txs to really see full effects for most conditions. I was recommended a few sessions just to boost my healing.
β¨
After 8 sessions, Iβve already noticed benefits: My feet are less likely to turn purple due to poor circulation! Bruising is clearing up so fast! Pain is WAY better afterwards!
β¨
HBOT is completely pain-free & itβs also a very safe treatment!
β¨
If I benefitted this much already from a mild HBOT chamber, I can only imagine the benefits of traditional HBOT hard chamber! ππΌ

Iβve been doing IV ozone therapy since 2017 for inflammation & circulation. It seems like my body loves hyperbaric oxygen therapy just as much as it loves ozone ππ
