Bartiméus is a Dutch organization who provides care, support, education and training for partially sighted or blind people. The organization aims to improve their quality of life providing personal advice, guidance and knowledge. Bartiméus aims to improve the quality of life for the blind and partially sighted people. The client remains in total control during the entire process. Having said that:

We continually develop new services for people of all ages in the field of education, living accommodations, work and leisure. The NCL Centre of Expertise Bartiméus offers specialized support to persons with NCL. Some of them receive 24-hour support in group home. Others receive ambulant support. At the NCL Centre of Expertise, you can find answers to all your questions about NCL. The NCL Centre of Expertise is a multidisciplinary team that includes an ambulant caregiver, behavioral experts, a social worker, a physiotherapist and a Physician Intellectual Disability. We offer concrete support, advice and treatment for patients with NCL and their families and we coach professionals who are involved in the care of NCL patients. The NCL Centre of Expertise participate in scientific research, give presentation’s and publishes articles and books.
