Dear Women of Eindhoven, both locals and international women, this little hand-carved wooden spoon is what we hold at our themed sharing Circles in Eindhoven. There is a history behind this spoon. In brief, 40 years ago, an old master wood carver gave this spoon as a gift to a girl in the turmoil of puberty. She was growing up in a disfunctional family unit, was suffering from an eating disorder, and had no idea of her worth or who she was. The old man ran a shoe repair shop for a living, and she'd come in and noticed some beautifully carved wooden objects. He gave her the spoon she was admiring. She kept the spoon as a reminder of kindness, and the importance of following your passion. To keep creativity, which is life itself, flowing.
Whenever a river is dammed one of the women at our last Circle themed 'Self- Care is not Self-indulgence, reminded us, you'll feel stuck or lost. Work on unblocking the dams to the flow, breathe, and move on...
