People with Fibromyalgia have more than one underlying issue going on like concentration problems, memory problems, anxiety, depression, poor appetites, sleeping problems or (a history of) panic attacks and/or symptoms similar to post traumatic stress.
Usually these people come to me seeking assistance with their pain symptoms and then you see all these other symptoms as well that makes it sometimes difficult to know where to even start. But the thing I’ve noticed is is that when you go back to the source, when you take a step further away from the pain itself, and you see the person as a whole, the bottom line comes down to their bodies that can’t relax to a point to where they feel safe to heal, they don’t feel safe to even express themselves in the way they should, their whole body is kind of tight and closed off that causes (chronic) pain through their system.
With Fibromyalgia, because of this situation, there is a disconnect between the brain and body. The body is perceiving more pain because there is a constant tension. The system is so full that it can’t adapt anymore to stress and so they are stuck in a perpetual state of pain.
I would like to show a different perspective on what their pain is by understanding where the pain is coming from and what is causing most of their pain. By being able to pinpoint what the primary cause of your pain pattern is, I can teach a method (and this is what we are going to do in the 5-day online Fibromyalgia “Redefine Your Pain” Challenge) that can balance you out and that allows you to put your body into a state so that you can relax and release with lower tension and less pain as a result.
