They say, 'You don't choose Yoga, Yoga chooses you,' and it comes into your life and lights up the way. I deeply believe in it, especially looking at last month's. I was so blessed to meet a wonderful woman, an extraordinary teacher and my greatest Mentor, Clair, who not only trusted me with her students and gave me the chance to guide classes in her beautiful and cosy studio Alfa Balans Yoga & Yoga Therapie, but now also created a special class in the Polish language for Pools 🥹🥹 My heart has been punding with excitment and the deepest gratittude 🙏💚 Thank You so much 🙏🙏

The last days were so busy but also so rewarding. I’m so excited to be registered at KVK and start my journey as an entrepreneur 👩‍💻🎉🧘‍♀️
I can't find words to say how blessed I am to meet on my path wonderful people like super caring and dedicated Yoga teacher whose Yoga studio in Papdrecht I am starting to teach Restorative and Hatha Flow/Vinyasa Yoga from June💕🙏 🧎‍♀️
That is not all. I'm grateful to be again among wonderful specialists offering their services to highly sensitive people during the week of hsp ;

Do you also feel more restless and more retrospective when the year is coming to an end? 🫣 or by the business of the festive season or overthinking more than usual out of anxiety? 🫣
I would like to share a little idea with you - just find a bit of space and try shaking and dancing to regulate your nervous system, release tension, move from head to body and ground yourself. I just did 😇

The only constant thing about life is that it changes constantly ✨️ Just as my profile will transform with me.

In the last months, I put my whole focus and energy into yoga teacher training and my development, practice, deepening knowledge, and an abundance of new experiences together with challenges. This has been truly an amazing enriching, Self - discovering time.
And now, when I am approaching my final exams for yoga teacher certification, I want to renew this space too. I've already re-named it () for more clarity, as it is meant to serve the holistic approach for the mind and the body, for empowering and relaxing, and most for reconnecting with the Self and inner wisdom held in each of us. Much love 💕

From the 10th to the 16th of June 2024 WEEK VAN DE HSP/WEEK OF THE HSP Is taking place!
For the 5th time, HSPs can participate in all kinds of various (online) events.
The Week of the HSP offers everyone the opportunity to get acquainted - or to deepen their search – with this feature and its advantages and disadvantages
During the event, HSP professionals across the Netherlands and Belgium offer webinars, coaching, e-books, and promotions.
And I am honored to be among them!
As an HSP myself, burnout recovered, and an expat living in the Netherlands, I can perfectly understand the challenges and struggles of women in similar situations.
That is why I offer my support in:
embracing the HSP trait and immersing in its full potential;
working with beliefs that may limit your growth;
obtaining strategies to deal with personal (especially as an HSP living in a different country) and professional challenges;

I can help you to explore and choose Self-love and care practice the best for you! Contact me for a Free talk, link in BIO.

The modern world, its speed, noise, load, intensity, and expectations continuously affect us with an uncountable amount of stimulation and distractions,
It’s difficult for the brain because it doesn't know the source of stimuli received. It recognizes it all as a disturbance = danger! So it activates our nervous system to its mobilization mode.

We can’t stop that, but we can practice switching into the rest (parasympathetic) mode of the Nervous System.
Spending time alone. In silence. Stopping. Being present and experiencing the moment. Meditating. Breathing. Connecting with Nature.
These are the greatest forms of Self-love and Self-compassion you can offer to your Self!

It’s crucial, especially to HSP because of our heightened sensory sensitivity and reactivity to stimulation.
As we become more quickly and deeply affected by our surroundings, we also have a greater need to take time out, be just with Self, and care for our bodies and minds.

Self-care and balance practices help calm the mind, regenerate, and refill energy.
Making it habitual, will not only help regulate your Nervous System and teach it to respond more calmly,
but it’ll also let you listen to your Self and love your Self better!

The concept of SELF, which I am referring to, comes from the Internal Family System Model, which I adore deeply as the most effective way (in my opinion) of finding the TRUTH and real YOU.

Richard Schwartz, the brilliant creator of the Internal Family System, describes the self in the "8C's" characteristics. There is so much I want to share about this concept!
And I will🥰 but for now, just let me tell you this:
To me being in the state of SELF-energy, equals happiness, which to me means freedom, safety, clarity, and spaciousness.
Once I discovered that, I understood this was the state I needed to be. And when having worse days or stressful times, my task is to work towards reconnecting with that SELF-state.
This might take time, learning, and practice, but it is worth the work!

Do you recognize yourself?
Do you also get startled easily?
And struggle with loud noises (sirens, screams, busy streets, loud music, intense bells, etc) that make you uncomfortable, unwell, or overwhelmed? 🥴

Repeating after Dr Aron (the mother of the HSP concept and its characteristics)- high sensitivity is a combo deal.
Our heightened sensory and receptiveness come with positive and negative aspects because our senses are attuned to our surroundings strongly.

So let me tell you these examples. I love to surround myself with gentle scents, BUT only until some point and only with some specific, really gentle ones. If it becomes too intense or too long - I get headaches and nausea... Even worse if I am in a malodorous environment🤢

I like to listen to my favorite music according to my mood. Even sometimes dance (when nobody sees😉). BUT when my nervous system is overwhelmed and I am tired, the same music distresses me, feels like extreme rumbling, gives discomfort in my stomach, and overwhelms me even more... Even worse when some rapid noise occurs next to me 🫨

This is how an HSP body works. Being in an environment with the same amount of stimuli as a non-HSP will affect us more on the mental and physical level. Other people can be even not affected or not noticed at all. But it is ok. This is our body.
And what we need is to learn the manual of the HSP body, how to listen to it, nurture it, and take good care of it 🥰🦋

It might sound a bit too easy and you might feel a bit skeptical. But this is the truth. Finding the True Self, connecting to its energy in every single moment of the day, and taking care of it, is a huge milestone on the journey to establishing a thriving and fulfilled life.
Self-care is not selfish! Self-care is Self-protection!
And this simple change in perspective, changes everything!
I wish I had known it a few years back😅I learned it the hard way. But now I can help you remodel and reprogram your life and beliefs, so you can find your balance and serenity and start flourishing!

Can you relate?
A little bit of humor on Monday. However, quite much of reality. For many years I struggled with the environment I used to work in. How disturbing and draining it was to work among overwhelmingly loud colleagues. To be asked to do a few things at the same time, ideally delivered “yesterday”. Being distracted by people around with additional questions and starting my own tasks all over again and again. And at some point not knowing where to start anymore, being lost, and feeling pressured. As affected completely drained, detached, and wishing to hide somewhere...
Of course, these are things present in everybody’s work life! And undoubtedly affects everybody’s nervous system. Just everybody’s immunity to external factors is different. The best is to think about it as a spectrum. Highly Sensitive People have this resilience on a significantly lower level and we need more care.
And it's ok! because we're great, dedicated, ambitious, passionate, and creative employees when having an advantageous environment!
I can assure you we can make this work! Well, let’s be realistic, most likely we don’t have the power to change the structure of the company. But we can make sure that our own personal workspace serves us instead of draining us!
I’m not saying it is easy. And might sound a bit scary as some changes probably are involved, I know, we HSP are not looking forward to changes. But the results, the quality and satisfaction from your work, and most importantly - the prevention of burning out, are worth it! I can honestly say, I wish I had known all of this a few years back... Fortunately, I can help You now 💕
