Commissioned by Amsterdamse Glashandel van Beemdelust B.V.

This company, specialized in sustainable glass solutions (particularly for heritage buildings) commissioned me to design their exhibition stand for the Monument trade fair. This annual event is a key meeting point for professionals in the field of historic real estate.

I had previously created an illustration for their brand Fineo, which was widely used across their marketing materials. They were so pleased with that design that they approached me again. This time to develop a visual concept for their new brands: VacuVerre, MonuVerre, and RenoVerre.

The challenge? To create something that echoed the original work, yet had its own identity. I chose to take a different direction, believing that a new concept deserves its own spotlight. This new illustration was inspired by warmth, elegance, beauty, and the feeling of comfort in your home or building.

It was a bold move, but one that paid off. The illustration received enthusiastic feedback and made a strong impression at the fair. The result was distinctive, eye-catching, and fresh. A project I’m truly proud of, and one in which I once again pushed my own creative boundaries.

REBRANDING ASSIGNMENT
Commissioned by LEPA

LEPA – the Live Entertainment Production Awards – is the only Dutch award show dedicated to the professionals behind the scenes of live entertainment. Every year, 13 awards are presented to honor excellence across the industry.

To mark its 10th anniversary, LEPA went through a full rebranding – and that’s where we came in. The former outdated tulip logo was transformed into a sleek, graphic symbol that feels both bold and distinctly Dutch. Playful shades of orange combined with classic navy blue created a fresh, powerful visual identity. One that seamlessly carries across all channels, from website to socials, from signage to stationery.

The result? A striking new look that reflects the growing impact of LEPA and helps put backstage talent front and center.

Happy New Year! A little late, I know, but this week didn’t exactly start off in style -waking up next to a toilet roll because the tissues ran out felt straight out of a bad Netflix show. But hey, from next week on, I’ll be back to full health and ready to kickstart 2025 with creativity on overdrive!

Throwback to the ‘90s! Recently, my friend Liesbeth sent me these photos, though a bit tattered since the album pages had stuck together over time.
 
It was 1994. I had just graduated from the Montaigne fashion academy and was at the start of my career. Shortly before our trip to Orlando in the US, I landed a job at Nike’s headquarters in Hilversum as an illustrator for their clothing collections. My new employer, however, wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about vacation plans - back then, traveling wasn’t seen as broadening your horizons’, unfortunately.
 
Liesbeth worked at a travel agency and had received two tickets as a gift. I moved heaven and earth to make it work. After a lot of pleading, I managed to get a whole week (!!!) off. It was short, but we made the most amazing memories during that special trip.
 
Regrettably, we didn’t have iPhones back then to capture every detail, so we’re left with these few in bad state treasures that now come with a kind of vintage filter, courtesy of time. And as you can see, we’ve only grown wiser since then—and not a day older... right? 🌞👙🏝️

PKnCo’s core values are strength, energy, value, openness, honesty, guidance, calm, approachability, change, togetherness, balance, focus, growth, organic, and clarity. These are the ingredients used to develop the logo.

Symbolism of these core values. The Honesty plant (Lunaria), whose English name literally means ‘honesty,’ serves as a metaphor for trust and transformation. Just like the visible seed within the leaf of this plant, everything is already within you. You can trust in that. When facing change, you don’t need to know exactly what comes next. The Honesty plant also symbolizes the courage to look honestly at one’s own shadow. That’s where your development lies, moving from fear to trust.

The lighthouse is a beacon of light and hope, helping to find the right path in darkness. It also stands as a symbol of stability and direction, even amidst the most turbulent waters.

A play of lines creates movement. Horizontal lines evoke calm, peace, and community. Vertical lines encourage action and convey courage and strength. A diagonal line appears dynamic and creates speed, while a wavy line radiates energy.

Blue is associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and the sky.
Beige stands for warmth and structure, simplicity, neutrality, accessibility, harmony, and relaxation.

No matter how high-quality your product is, sometimes a rebranding is necessary. This fantastic Limoncello del Gargano (which I have, of course, tasted) is made in Italy by a winemaker who pays no attention to marketing, believing that customers only care about the ‘inner quality.’ Nowadays, quality alone is not enough; appearance matters too. That’s why my client, who imports this wine from Italy and is a big fan of this product, believes this limoncello deserves branding that matches its quality and has asked me to design it. The result is dangerously delicious... both inside and out. 🍋🍸💛✨
