Al dertien jaar werkt Martijn bij AAE. Eerst twaalf jaar in de backoffice, inmiddels bijna een jaar als cost engineer binnen het calculatieteam. Waarom hij bleef? Omdat je bij AAE jezelf kunt blijven ontwikkelen zonder van omgeving te hoeven veranderen. En omdat de mensen hier samenwerken met dezelfde gedrevenheid als die van Martijn zelf.

“Ik had behoefte aan iets nieuws, maar wilde niet weg. Dat kon ook gewoon: ik kreeg de kans om intern door te groeien. Dat geeft vertrouwen.”

Martijn has been part of AAE for thirteen years now. After twelve years in the back office, he took on a new challenge as a cost engineer within our calculation team. Why did he stay? Because at AAE, you’re encouraged to grow without needing to change your surroundings. And because the people here work with the same drive and dedication that defines Martijn himself.

𝐀𝐀𝐄 𝐭𝐢𝐣𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐧 💪

Het is al weer even geleden, maar vorige week stonden zeven AAE'ers aan de start van de High Tech Triatlon! Een pittige uitdaging die bestond uit 1 km zwemmen, 40 km fietsen en 10 km hardlopen.

Gelukkig voor onze AAE'ers en de aanwezige toeschouwers scheen de zon volop, maar dat maakte helaas het hardlopen in de middag wel extra zwaar. Toch hield iedereen vol, een knappe prestatie gevoed door de can-do mentaliteit zoals we die bij AAE kennen. 💚

Na afloop heerste er dan ook een gevoel van euforie binnen de groep. Zo licht onze eigen Dimitry toe: “𝘏𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵, 𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘮𝘨𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘵𝘪𝘨 𝘦𝘯 𝘥𝘦 𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘱. 𝐀𝐀𝐄 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐨𝐧 💪

It has already been a little while, but just last week seven AAE’ers lined up at the start of the High Tech Triathlon! A challenging race consisting of 1 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running.

Fortunately for our AAE athletes and the spectators, the sun was shining brightly. However, this also made the afternoon run even more demanding. Still, everyone persevered, an impressive achievement powered by the can-do mentality that we embrace at AAE. 💚

After crossing the finish line, the group was filled with a sense of euphoria. As our own Dimitry explained:

Afgelopen weekend beklommen vier AAE’ers de legendarische Stelvio-pas tijdens de Stelvio for Life challenge. Drie op de fiets, één te voet, allemaal verlegden zij hun persoonlijke grenzen.

En dit niet alleen, want dit topteam heeft bijna €10.000 heeft ingezameld voor baanbrekend kankeronderzoek. 🙏

Zo hebben zij niet alleen een prestatie vol met ambitie waar weten te maken, maar tegelijkertijd dragen zij bij aan een betere wereld. Een wereld waarin iedereen de beste zorg verdient.

Namens alle AAE’ers: jullie zijn helden! Dit is waar AAE voor staat: impact maken voor een betere wereld, samen. 💚

This past weekend, four AAE colleagues took on the legendary Stelvio Pass during the Stelvio for Life challenge. Three by bike, one on foot, each of them pushing their personal limits.

But they didn’t do it alone. Together, this top team raised nearly €10,000 for groundbreaking cancer research. 🙏

By doing so, they not only achieved an ambitious personal milestone, but also made a real contribution to a better world, one where everyone deserves the very best care.

Deze groep AAE’ers heeft één doel: concrete duurzaamheidsprojecten realiseren en daarmee het duurzaamheidsvuurtje binnen AAE nog groter laten worden.

Van kleine, laagdrempelige initiatieven, zoals grijpers meenemen tijdens de wandelpauze om zwerfafval op te ruimen, tot grotere projecten, zoals samen bomen planten om iets terug te doen voor de maatschappij. 🌳

We weten dat we er nog niet zijn. Maar elke stap brengt ons dichter bij een duurzamere toekomst. De inzet van onze collega’s daarin maakt ons supertrots!

This group of AAE’ers has one clear mission: to realize concrete sustainability projects and ignite an even stronger sustainability spark within AAE.

From small, accessible initiatives, like taking grabbers along during lunch walks to collect litter, to larger projects, such as planting trees together to give back to society. 🌳

We know there is still a long way to go. But every step brings us closer to a more sustainable future. And the dedication of our colleagues makes us incredibly proud!

Team Expeditie Fit gaat op missie. Niet zomaar een missie, maar eentje vol doorzettingsvermogen en betekenis.

Tijdens de Stelvio For Life challenge beklimmen dit jaar op 30 augustus vier AAE’ers te voet of op de fiets de Stelvio-pas in Noord-Italië. Een tocht van 21 haarspeldbochten, 1.533 hoogtemeters en maar één doel: geld ophalen voor baanbrekend kankeronderzoek.

Team Expeditie Fit is going on a mission. Not just any mission, but one full of determination and meaning.

On 30 August, during the Stelvio For Life challenge, four AAE colleagues will conquer the Stelvio Pass in Northern Italy, either on foot or by bike. A route with 21 hairpin bends, 1,533 altitude metres and just one goal: raising money for groundbreaking cancer research.

𝐎𝐧𝐳𝐞 𝐀𝐀𝐄’𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧 ‘𝐤𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝’ 𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧

De vrijdagmiddagborrel. Een vaste prik voor onze AAE’ers. Iedere eerste vrijdag van de maand genieten van een lekker hapje en drankje. Met elkaar.

Maar deze ‘Vrijmibo’ was nét even anders dan normaal.

Want als extraatje stond er potje elektronisch kleiduiven schieten op het programma. 🕹️

Zo kwamen ontspanning én plezier kwamen samen in een activiteit die perfect past bij AAE: een tikje hightech, lekker verrassend en vooral: samen! 💚

Friday drinks, a beloved tradition at AAE. Every first Friday of the month, we gather for good food and drinks. Together.

But this edition of our “Vrijmibo” had a little twist.

As a special surprise, we added a round of electronic clay pigeon shooting to the mix. 🕹️

Relaxation and fun came together in an activity that truly reflects AAE: a touch of high-tech, delightfully unexpected, and above all, together! 💚
