Hi!

If you don’t know yet, I founded my own Art Foundation with the mission to help mainly disadvantaged children thrive and flourish through art. We aim to encourage children to experience art, grow, develop, and unleash their creativity.

I developed an art program called PaintUp!, which I have successfully tested with various foundations and schools in the area. Last year, I had the privilege of giving lessons to 218 kids. This fall, as we approach the back-to-school season, we are working hard to bring as many schools as possible into our program.

Our website is ready for registrations, so if you know schools or groups of kids that want to join our art program, please refer them to our site (https://lauranotari.com/artfoundation) We also need your help with donations to fund art supplies! And everything counts!

Our current fundraising goal is to support 50 kids from a local school, providing them with five lessons from my program, including all necessary materials and art supplies and the book.

Just got back from holidays and found out I published a book! 🎉

As a joke, but it’s true—the kids’ book I wrote with my Art Foundation: “Artie’s Magical Painting Journey”, just came back from the printers!

Hi All!

For those who doesn't know yet, I have my own Art Foundation, that the goal is to get children to experience art and grow, development, and flourish through creativity.

This is reflective of the foundation's mission to help mainly disadvantaged children thrive and flourish through art.

I developed an art program called PaintUp! and I tested it with some foundations and schools in the area (last year I gave lessons to 218 kids).

This fundraising is going to help another 25 kids from a school to get into 5 lessons of my program including all the materials and art supplies required.

Under the heading ‘Welcome to Blaricum’ in issue 551 of October 2021, we introduced Laura Notari and her family to the residents of our village. Laura, Argentinian by birth and an accountant by training, then said that she wanted to focus more on her passion: making art.

Curious as we are, we asked Laura if she was able to follow her dream. Laura says: ‘It all started with a simple desire to reconnect with my artistic side, to explore possibilities of self-expression through different media. Along the way I came across stories that touched my heart and forced me to take action and make a difference in the lives of others.’

Being creative as a catalyst

In Hilversum, Laura is anti-squat in the old ANWB building where she has located her studio and, among other things, gives painting workshops to children. Here she met Roef, a highly sensitive child with social and cognitive struggles, both at school and at home. She saw that Roef could express himself authentically by giving free rein to his creativity. There was an improvement in his functioning. This prompted Laura to think about how being creative could be a catalyst for positive change in the lives of children like Roef’.

Laura Notari Art Foundation Het Gooi may be the place where Laura's journey began, her ambitions are far reaching further and she wants to expand her initiatives. Through her dedication and determination, she wants to pave the way for a future in which creativity is a vehicle for positive change and transformation. I have discovered that artistic expression has a transformative power. With the support of a dedicated team and through programs developed by me such as PaintUp! I offer children the tools and guidance to develop through creativity. I also want to give children from poorer families the opportunity to come into contact with these possibilities. With a personal approach and by working together with companies and agencies, such as Versa Welzijn, and with private individuals who want to support us, I want to reach as many children as possible, so that children can develop themselves confidently and resiliently and participate in our society. .'

I am thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for artists to participate in an upcoming art exhibition titled "Intersectionality: Exploring the Multifaceted Identity."

This exhibition aims to delve into the complexities of identity by examining how various aspects such as race, gender, sexuality, culture, and socio-economic background intersect to shape individuals' experiences. We will explore themes of equity and harmony by highlighting the interconnectedness of humanity and celebrating diversity.

Additionally, the exhibition will incorporate elements of fashion and art walkways to showcase how identity is expressed through style and creativity. The concept of "imminent" will be reflected in the urgency of addressing social issues and fostering inclusivity, while "echoes of solitude" will inspire introspective pieces that explore individual experiences within broader societal contexts.
