The persistent cough of Susan Smith (57) was found to be a symptom of advanced lung cancer. She quickly began the first rounds of chemotherapy, in combination with radiotherapy. Soon after, her doctor suggested her to participate in the clinical study of ImmunoSABR.

Susan, advanced cancer patient, was asked to take part in this scientific study about immune therapy🔬 She had a persistent cough and the diagnosis was a tumour in the lungs and a metastasis in the pelvis. Two and a half years later, she’s still cancer-free.

The majority of lung cancer patients are diagnosed at the time the cancer has metastasised. These patients mainly receive care to relieve pain, but without aiming to cure the cancer itself.

Radiotherapy uses radiation to kill cancer cells, while immunotherapy uses the immune system to fight cancer. ImmunoSABR research project is testing the synergistic effects of the two therapies💊🔬
