The way we attach is the way we love 💜 Our earliest relationships—whether they felt secure, inconsistent, or distant—create the blueprint for how we connect as adults.

- If love felt safe and consistent, we may develop secure attachment, trusting in healthy connection.

- If love was unpredictable, we may develop anxious attachment, craving closeness but fearing rejection.

- If love felt distant or unavailable, we may develop avoidant attachment, valuing independence but struggling with intimacy.

But here’s the good news: Attachment is not a life sentence. With awareness and healing, we can break patterns and build healthier relationships with others and ourselves.

Drop a ❤️ if you’ve ever noticed family patterns showing up in your relationships!

Becoming a parent is one of the most beautiful and overwhelming journeys you’ll ever take. If you’re in the early days—sleep-deprived, questioning yourself, and feeling the weight of this new responsibility—I want you to hear this:

💛 You’re doing better than you think. Your baby doesn’t need perfection, just your love and presence.

💛 It’s okay if you don’t feel a magical bond immediately. Love grows, and attachment takes time. Be gentle with yourself.

💛 Your emotions will be all over the place and that’s normal. Parenthood is a rollercoaster of joy, exhaustion, guilt, and deep love. Give yourself grace.

💛 Ask for help without guilt. You were never meant to do this alone. Lean on your village, whether it’s friends, family, or professionals.

💛 Comparison steals joy. Every baby (and every parent) is different. What works for someone else may not work for you, and that’s okay.

💛 Taking care of yourself is taking care of your baby. You matter too. Your mental and emotional well-being will help you be the parent you want to be.

💛 This phase won’t last forever. The sleepless nights, the newborn cries, the uncertainty—it will pass. One day, you’ll look back and realize how strong you were.

Parenthood isn’t about getting everything right; it’s about showing up with love, again and again. 💜

If you’re struggling, you’re not alone. You deserve support and kindness—especially from yourself.
