Sigma Investments is the student investment club of the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University. Sigma Investment was founded in 1976 by students of Maastricht University, it has since been Sigmaโs goal to bridge the gap between theoretical academia and the world of professional finance. It is one of the oldest student run groups at Maastricht University, and as such has a rich h
istory which is built on year after year. This objective is achieved in our weekly meetings during which we discuss the most recent market developments and consider changes in our portfolio composition. Students are given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on real trading with their own money. Furthermore, the investment club organizes and engages in professional events, such as Maastricht Business Days, wine tastings and interesting guest lectures.
