Our new partner has already visited World Horti Center on two occasions. Just over a week ago, we welcomed representatives from MISUMI Europe, along with a delegation from the overarching Misumi Group from Japan. Their visit included a guided tour of our building, as well as meetings with several WHC partners to discuss collaboration opportunities. Two weeks earlier, MISUMI Europe professionals attended WHC to join the HortiHeroes Startup Dinner and connect with some of our sectorโ€™s most promising upโ€‘andโ€‘coming enterprises. ๐Ÿš€

Cultivation for Compounds, the research consortium founded by Cultivators, Vertify and World Horti Center, is entering a new phase. The consortium was launched in 2022, with companies from all positions in the value chain joining. Their collective research focused on optimizing cannabis cultivation for active compounds.

Now, with the first research phase completed, the founding parties have announced a second phase aimed at more targeted, inโ€‘depth research. Organizations interested in joining the consortium are invited to get in touch.

We were pleased to welcome another international delegation to World Horti Center today, this time from Punjab, India.

The delegation, including S. Bhagwant Mann, Hon'ble Chief Minister, and Sh. Sanjeev Arora, Hon'ble Minister of Industries & Commerce and Investment Promotion, visited to learn more about the horticulture sector and greenhouse cultivation. ๐ŸŒฑ

They were received by Puck van Holsteijn and Lenny Dijkshoorn, who guided them through our facilities and shared insights into the Dutch approach to high-tech horticulture.

During the visit, the group was introduced to the strength and innovation of the sector through a series of inspiring pitches by Maurice Verbakel (BOAL Group), Chrรฉtien Hendriks (Genap), and Desh Ramnath (Dutch Greenhouse Delta).

It was a valuable exchange of knowledge and perspectives, we thank the delegation for their visit and look forward to continued collaboration. ๐Ÿ‘

This morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming two ministerial delegations.

We started with Honourable John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture from Ghana, and his delegation. After a short introduction to World Horti Center by Puck van Holsteijn, they were guided through our facility. Discussing topics such as the horticultural value chain, greenhouse cultivation, and water. Contributions from Jason Wiersma (Van der Ende Group), Mirjam Boekestijn (Dutch Greenhouse Delta) and Andre van der Wurff (Vertify) added valuable insights. ๐Ÿ’ช

Shortly after, we welcomed a delegation from the Republic of Kosovo, including Ms. Mimoza Kusari, Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, and Ambassador Mr.Dren Doli. Following a brief introduction, Puck toured them through our facility, with a focus on themes such as water, energy, and startups. At the Robotics & AI square, Ms. Kusari engaged in a conversation with our AI assistant, Cassie. ๐Ÿค–

Across both visits, key themes emerged: knowledge exchange, workforce training, innovation, and the vital role of water in sustainable horticulture.

We are proud to contribute to international collaboration and look forward to working together on these shared challenges. ๐Ÿคฉ

Donderdag 2 april organiseerden we de eerste Partnerbijeenkomst van 2026. We trapten de middag af met een korte update van Puck van Holsteijn. Zij nam ons mee in de ontwikkelingen binnen WHC: van een terugblik op 2025 tot de strategie รฉn een vooruitblik op de Health Weeks later dit jaar. ๐Ÿ…

Hierna was het podium voor Indy Bernoster van Gibbs Analytics Consulting B.V., zij nam de aanwezige partners mee in het onderwerp: โ€œWaarde uit je data halen: van klantinzicht naar betere businessbeslissingen.โ€ Met herkenbare B2B-cases van KPN en Koppert Cress liet zij zien hoe je data vertaalt naar heldere stuurinformatie, sterkere klantrelaties en nieuwe groeikansen. Een boeiend onderwerp dat later tijdens de borrel zorgde voor voldoende gespreksstof. ๐Ÿคฉ

Natuurlijk kregen ook onze nieuwe partners het podium om zich kort voor te stellen: Robert Solleveld van Kas als Energiebron, John Meijer van Fischer Farms en Vincent Fokkema van Demcon vertelden tijdens een korte pitch meer over hun organisaties. ๐Ÿ‘

Daarna was het tijd voor de netwerkborrel, samen met de partners van HortiHeroes. Onder het genot van een drankje werd er volop bijgepraat en genetwerkt.
