Almost all of our bags are made from canvas rather than poplin.

The reason for this is that canvas is a stronger and more robust fabric. This ensures that the bag can withstand wear and tear and is sturdier, allowing you to carry more weight in it. Another advantage is that the bag retains its good looks for longer.

The GOTS label – you hardly even notice it sometimes, because how often do you really pay close attention to a label? Maybe you look it up to check the washing instructions, but beyond that? And yet, behind this label lies an entire story.

The story of all the steps the product has gone through: how the raw materials were sourced, how they were woven into fabrics, and whose hands put it all together. Once you know this, you can’t help but look at the label differently.

It’s already been over a year since our Indian supplier last visited. It’s so nice to speak face to face every now and then, rather than only digitally.
The conversations are different — there’s more depth, but also a certain lightness, which is often lost in digital exchanges.

For us, doing business is still very much about people. Of course, all the digital tools are extremely useful, but a face-to-face meeting just adds that little bit extra. And you can see it reflected straight away in the product.

Our organic cotton kitchen textiles are made in Turkey and India.

The kitchen towels are produced in Turkey by a family business that also makes our bath textiles.

The tea towels are made in India by a manufacturer who also produces some woven fabrics for us.

Our suppliers are very important to us, and we have been working with them for many years, as we know that the social working conditions are reliably good.

We’re true bread lovers — brown bread, white bread, with or without grains and seeds, rolls, baguettes. Bread comes in all shapes and sizes. Every day, countless loaves are sold, along with their packaging. 🍞

So how easy would it be to switch to a cotton bread bag instead? Several bakery's are already buying the (personalised) bags from us and actively offer the cotton bread bag. Wonderful, isn’t it?
