Filmed a bunch of yoga classes with again πŸ™Œ Outside it was gloomy but hopefully the classes will bring some energy and peace. Did you know we already have two seasons of classes online? You can watch them any time at (for free!) πŸ™β€οΈ

makes it look easy, I found out it is very much not πŸ₯² My second class (at pop.uppop up with ) went a lot better than the first, altho this time I had no power left to film what we had been learning. The back of my knee is sore and I'm covered in bruises but it was SO much fun! Plus I love that all bodies are welcome, nobody cares what you look like or what size you are. Skin means grip so everyone is in shorts and tops. Highly recommend trying this out, especially if you mainly do yoga. This trains the hanging muscles, which is one thing we don't really hit with yoga. And my personal tip: try at least 2 classes, cos the first one will be hard (at least for me 🀭)

steal my flow πŸ™Œ I was mixing slow after a week of headaches and these poses felt so good together that I paused my practice and filmed it for you. Of course stay in each pose as long as you like, and pick versions that work for your body. Happy to felt pretty good in my body today, wishing the same for you ❀️

A few weeks ago I tried a boxing class and today I tried pole. It was SO HARD! I think boxing was sweaty but pole was HARD (and painful?! My skin is not used to holding my weight yet πŸ˜‚). But.. Both were SO FUN! It can feel scary to just walk into an unknown studio and be a complete beginner, but people are always there to help and then you have a new experience. Thanks to .up.pole Pop up Pole for the warm welcome and also for the boxing class and not laughing at my ballet/yoga style πŸ€πŸ˜…πŸ™Œ

Taught a yoga workshop this morning at a beautiful estate, let me show you around! Of course I ended with some time in nature after class, to ground and relax before getting back in the car to get home. Hope you're having a great Thursday β€οΈπŸ™ 🀭❀️

Tulip season in my region is always breathtaking - so when we visited a market right opposite this field I had to do a yoga pose. Dancer is always easy when you're in shoes and want to see the background 😍 (and this is how you take photos with the flowers without harming the bulbs, stay on the outside) 🌷

Always yogaing out and about πŸ˜‡ This pose was tricky as it was on a very slippery wall covered in algae, but it looks so cool! Nature taking over πŸ™Œ My lovely boyfriend took this photo during our holiday in Spain (woop and that inspired me for the audio - i used to listen to BlΓΈf all the time β˜€οΈ)

Our Story

Roos Kocken is yoga teacher, body positivity ambassador and adventurer. She loves yoga because it can help us on so many levels, not just physically to get stronger and more flexible, but also to release stress and tension, be more present in the moment and be mindful in life.

Her yoga journey started when she was 15 and her parents took her to a Dru yoga conference. Here, she saw that yoga was so much more than movement, it brought young people of all shapes and sizes together to find joy and make a change in the world. They collected food for the homeless, organized peace walks and had amazing adventures together in nature. To deepen her knowledge of yoga, Roos enrolled in the Dru yoga teacher training and started teaching her first classes in 2009 during her time in university.

During travels in India and Indonesia she found inspiration in more active styles of yoga, allowing her adventurous spirit to fully join the yoga party. Tara Judelle taught her that handstands and arm balances can be a part of your yoga practice too!

Roos found her Vinyasa teachers in Briohny Smyth and Dice Iida Klein of Bryce Yoga School. After quitting her fulltime job and going for a yoga teacher life, she did her second yoga teacher training with Bryce Yoga in the summer of 2017. After a severe knee injury, she had to slow down and focused on learning how to teach Yin yoga and chair yoga. Her own experience with different injuries has greatly inspired her teaching style and taught Roos many ways to adjust postures so that anyone can participate in her classes.
