Yes We Can Youth Clinics is specialised in healthcare for young people, from 13 to 25 years old, suffering from behavioural disorders, addictions and behavioural problems.

As proud as a phoenix, because our founder Jan Willem P**t is celebrating 21 years clean & sober today. 💙 A special milestone, as for fellows their clean date is more important than their birthday. This day symbolises a new beginning and a life in recovery.

What began as a personal battle against his addiction grew into the Yes We Can Healthcare Group, a place where thousands of struggling young people have been able to begin a new, loving and happy life. We are incredibly proud of Jan Willem, who shows that recovery is not only possible, but also opens doors to give back every day what you yourself have received.

Many fellows who start at Yes We Can Youth Clinics have often lost their daily rhythm when it comes to school or work. During our treatment, we help them step by step to rediscover structure, build new habits and find out what gives them energy.

We see how, little by little, they regain confidence and start to feel hopeful about the future again. It’s truly special to see that 87% of our fellows return to school or work after completing treatment at Yes We Can. A wonderful step towards a new beginning. 💪

Now, this is your chance to become a former fellow in training for the role of Youth Coach. Having walked this road before, you’ve grown – and now you can help others do the same.

Over the course of seven months, you will be trained and educated to become a Youth Coach yourself through our Yes We Can Academy. This is your opportunity to inspire our current fellows with your recovery journey, to use your own experience to help others overcome their challenges, and to continue developing yourself – both personally and professionally.

In the SVT Sweden documentary "Skärmfri på 100 dagar", our former fellows Adam, Josephine, Wanne and Lorenzo share with honesty and courage how they overcame their screen addiction. It’s an important message, as the number of young people around the world who are addicted to their phones or screens is rising alarmingly.

Yesterday was all about thrills and chills for our fellows during an unforgettable Halloween evening at Yes We Can Youth Clinics. 🎃 An evening full of excitement and plenty of fun. Together we enjoyed everything that makes this day so special — from carving pumpkins to a spooky walk through the woods. 👻

Struggling with screen and gaming addiction, social anxiety and depression, former fellow Lorenzo had reached a point where life no longer seemed worth living. His days were spent in isolation, disconnected from his friends, family and from himself.

“I didn’t see any future for myself. I spent most of my time in my room or bed, not going to school, not doing anything. I felt like some sort of alien, I had made myself one. My treatment at Yes We Can wasn’t easy, but it reignited something in me. It brought back my feelings and emotion, but also my ambitions, my relationships and my ability to connect with others.”

14 years Yes We Can Clinics. 💙

What began as a small but passionate group of dedicated experts by experience and healthcare professionals in the Ardennes has, over the course of 14 years, grown into our Dutch youth clinic, where thousands of young people have been given the chance to reshape their lives.

We are proud of the path we have travelled together and deeply grateful for the trust we have been given. Normally, we tend to look ahead, but today we take a moment to reflect on all those unforgettable moments and wonderful achievements we have been privileged to share over the past 14 years.

Today is World Mental Health Day. 🌍 Around the world, we pause to reflect on the importance of mental health and show that no one has to face things alone. Keep sharing how you feel, and remember to regularly check in with others too. Together we are stronger. 🙏

Former fellow Noah knows better than anyone how vital mental health is: “I struggled with depression, self-harm, an eating disorder and feeling deeply suicidal. During COVID, I was completely alone with my thoughts and became very ill, very quickly. I had been in many hospitals for my mental health, but no one was able to look at all of my issues together.”

After Yes We Can, Noah is now at university, has a lovely relationship with his family and a life far beyond anything he could have dreamed of. We are incredibly proud of him. 💙
