Hello, VUErs!

We would like to express our utmost gratitude to everyone who supported and joined our advocacy. We hope that we were able to inspire and assist you and impart life-changing lessons and experiences as you set yourself up to conquer the world of work.

Graduation is just around the corner, and moments from now, you are already wandering in the real world. So, hang on; you're almost there. And as you close this chapter of your life, you are to turn another page and fill it with wonderful experiences waiting ahead of you.

Once again, this is Humanvue, reminding you that:
The end gives birth to something new. It can be terrifying at first, but trying new things is what makes life truly exciting. Know that you will encounter a rollercoaster cycle of endings and beginnings, be it in your career or life in general. Some closing might be heartbreaking, but, take heart, you have the ability to make endings memorable, insightful, and breathtakingly beautiful, like how the sunset paints the skies and makes them colorful.

Fashion Revolution Day took its place of anniversary at the 2013 Rana Plaza building collapse. Rana Plaza, a building in Bangladesh, housed several garment factories, employing around 5,000 people. The people in this building were manufacturing clothing for many of the biggest global fashion brands. More than 1,100 people – mostly young women – died in the collapse and another 2,500 were injured, making it the fourth largest industrial disaster in history.

The Fashion Transparency Index is an annual review of 250 of the world's largest fashion brands and retailers ranked according to the level of public disclosure on human rights and environmental policies, practices, and impacts in their own operations and in their supply chains. The 2021 report revealed that the spotlight issues from that year were: decent work, covering COVID-19 response, living wages, purchasing practices, unionization, collective bargaining; gender and racial equality; sustainable sourcing and materials; overconsumption and business models; waste and circularity; water and chemicals; and climate change and biodiversity. The goal is to create greater transparency in the fashion supply chain and to reveal some of the deplorable conditions in which clothing is made. According to the scientists, we only have 3-5 years to save our planet. Change starts within us, by simply doing the following, it could be a greater help in our environment:

- save electricity
- don't waste water
- lessen the use of plastic
- reuse, reduce, recycle
- remove and delete unwanted emails
- choose local and organic
- plant trees
- don't burn plastics, rubber bands, or anything that can cause harm to the ozone layer
- unplug electronics you don't use
