🚀 Last week marked the 15th edition of the SEKISUI European KAIZEN Convention, a vibrant showcase of problem-solving techniques, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement.
🤝 At SEKISUI, KAIZEN isn’t just a method, it’s also a mindset. This year, seven teams from across our European sites stepped up to present their improvement projects, each one reflecting the spirit of progress that drives us forward.
Beyond the competition, the event was a chance for colleagues to connect, share ideas, and celebrate achievements across borders.
👏 A huge round of applause to all participants and special congratulations to Sekisui Specialty Chemicals EUROPE, the winning team of this year’s convention! 🏆

❗️The journey of the winning team continues in January 2026: Sekisui Specialty Chemicals Europe will represent us at the Global SEKISUI KAIZEN Convention in Kyoto, joining other winning teams from around the world to present their project on the international stage.
🏃♀️➡️ Yuma Yamamoto, track and field athlete and proud member of the SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group since 2023, has turned an Olympic dream into reality. From her strong performance at the Japanese Championships to representing Japan at the Paris Olympics and the World Championships in Tokyo, Yuma’s journey reflects determination and resilience.
Supported by colleagues throughout this experience, Yuma continues to grow as an athlete and as an inspiring example of perseverance within the SEKISUI family.
Her story reminds us how ambition and community can lead to remarkable achievements!
On November 7th, our colleagues at Sekisui Specialty Chemicals Europe (SSCE) in Tarragona, Spain, carried out the 2025 SEKISUI Environmental Activity, continuing a tradition of sustainability and respect for the environment.
This year’s actions included:
• Planting Mediterranean trees and shrubs
• Creating new shelters for birds and bats
• Marking the path of the Green Wall trail
The day ended with a special moment: the release of a sparrowhawk, thanks to collaboration with the environmental group Gepec.
These efforts build on previous initiatives such as planting pines, holm oaks, and aromatic plants, and working with local schools and associations.
Together, we help regenerate the surroundings of SEKISUI facilities and reinforce our commitment to a sustainable future.
