Taking a moment to acknowledge yourself brings joy and builds inner strength.🦋

So often, we long to hear this from others. But everything starts with you.
When you can say it to yourself, your environment will begin to reflect it back to you naturally.

I’ve started a whole new journey with a completely new automation program for Soulsounds. I had been postponing it for too long, thinking it was too complicated for me. But now, I love it!🤩 I’m learning and growing. It energizes me, and I’m proud that I finally took this step.

Here’s to new beginnings and trusting the process. So, be proud of what you do.

3 reasons why you wake up tired. Even after 8 hours of sleep (And what you can do about it)

You go to bed on time. You sleep for eight hours. And still… You wake up with a heavy head, a tired body and a foggy mind. As if your battery just didn’t charge.

Sound familiar? You’re not alone. Many of the women I work with - entrepreneurs, mothers - experience the same thing. And no, it’s not just about the quality of your mattress or how many hours you slept. The real reason goes deeper. Much deeper.

1. Your body slept, but your nervous system didn’t.
Stress isn’t always visible. You can be smiling on the outside and still be in survival mode on the inside. If your nervous system stays “on”, in that fight-or-flight state, your body can’t fully enter the healing mode it so deeply needs at night. You’re sleeping, but not relaxing. You’re lying down, but your system is still running. And that’s why you wake up exhausted.

2. Your mind is working overtime at night.
What you suppress during the day catches up with you at night. Unprocessed conversations. The endless to-do list. The doubts you keep pushing away. Your brain keeps spinning, sorting, and trying to make sense of it all. The result? You wake up feeling more mentally full than before you went to sleep.

3. Your energy is chronically depleted.
You’re used to giving. To your family, your clients, your colleagues. You keep all the balls in the air. But when do you truly give back to yourself?

Without moments of deep rest, your system runs empty. Sleep alone is not enough. You need more than eight hours in bed.

So what do you need?
You need space. Breath. Stillness in your body and your mind.

So what can you do?
Stop focusing only on sleeping better. Start looking at what your system needs to truly unwind. Here are a few ways to support your system and start unwinding more deeply:

- Take a warm bath with magnesium flakes. It relaxes your muscles and calms your nerves.
- Write down your thoughts before bed. Emptying your mind creates mental space.
- Try 5 minutes of soft breathwork or slow nasal breathing.
- Swap your screen for soothing sounds. Listen to healing frequencies or one of my Sound Baths on YouTube.
- End your day with a quiet walk in nature. It brings you back into your body.

I guide female entrepreneurs in transforming stress and tinnitus into a state of serenity.✨ One of the ways I do this is through Sound Baths: sessions where sound, meditation and presence come together. I offer them as group sessions, and they’re open to everyone.

The healing sounds help regulate your nervous system. They quiet the mind and bring you back into your body. Nothing to do. Just be. And that’s exactly what you need.

Wat als ruimte nemen ook een vorm van verbinding is? Soms is jouw afwezigheid precies wat nodig is om weer echt aanwezig te kunnen zijn. Ruimte nemen is een beweging naar binnen om op te laden, opnieuw te voelen.
Wie zichzelf de ruimte gunt, komt sterker terug.
Echter. Zachter. Helderder.💫

Met de start van de schoolvakanties kies ik er bewust voor om zelf de rust en ruimte te nemen. De komende tijd dus geen Mindful Monday, Trusting Tuesday, Worthy Wednesday en Transformation Thursday
Vandaag is mijn laatste Freedom Friday en juist dát voelt als vrijheid. Vrijheid om te vertragen en om te voelen wat er wil ontstaan.

Stilte is ook klank.
Ruimte is ook verbinding.
Rust is ook groei.

Wat kun jij loslaten deze zomer, zodat er ruimte ontstaat?
Geef jezelf toestemming. De zomer nodigt je uit om opnieuw te landen.

I wasn’t sure why I felt called to go.
Why Eelco?
Why this event "Een Leven Vol Leven"?
I told Cathy Moerdijk about it and asked her to join me.
At first, sitting there among the audience, I didn’t feel a strong connection. But slowly… something shifted. From audience to alignment. And it turned out to be far more inspiring than I ever expected.

Deep messages.
Real presence.
Kind and loving energy.

A beautiful blend of minds and hearts of Eelco de Boer and his guests: Joe Polish, Oren Harris, Elliot Hulse, Ellen Long, Sam Qurashi, Cheri Ong, and Boipelo Moloabi. Each of them brought their own energy and stories. They create transformation in their own unique way.

Eelco opened with something that stayed with me. He spoke about how AI is becoming more and more present in our lives and how we must keep choosing to think and act from our own creativity. That word lit something in me. Creativity has always been part of who I am. I bring it into my coaching, my Sound Baths and my way of being.

And topics like being enough, friendship and how one person can change your life completely. So true.
I’ll definitely go again if Eelco hosts another evening like this.
It was more than worth it!

I also had brief but meaningful moments with some of the speakers. I felt pulled to walk toward the stage to thank the inspiring speakers what they shared.

I connect, because I love connection. It’s a natural drive in me.
Though yes it sometimes annoys my daughters:
"Mum, who are you talking to? Do you even know that person?"
Uhm… no!😂 But that’s just who I am.

Today is a reminder: You are already worthy. Not because of what you do, how much you give, or how hard you try.
But simply because you exist.

Your presence matters.
Your needs matter.
Your boundaries matter.
You matter.
Your being is already a gift.🩷

Let this day be about speaking from that inner knowing, the place that doesn't shrink to fit in or stretch to please others. Let today be the day you stand in that truth, softly and fully. Stand outside and feel the sun warm your skin. The breeze on your face. The ground beneath your feet. Feel that you are here, fully present. Own that truth.

When you truly arrive in the moment, you also arrive in yourself.
That’s where clarity begins. Clarity about what you desire. What no longer fits.

What is ready to be seen, felt and lived.
Freedom begins when everything else falls still and you remember who you truly are.

This week I choose softness. Softness means staying open when it would be easier to close. It means feeling deeply, listening fully and moving with intention.

Softness is strength, because it takes courage to slow down in a world that rushes. It takes trust to surrender. And it takes inner power to stay true to yourself, especially when things get loud, fast or uncertain.

I choose presence. I choose to listen.
Because the more I listen, the more life speaks back to me.

Today is warm, soft. The perfect moment to take off your shoes and let your feet breathe. I invite you to feel the earth beneath your feet.

Walk slowly.
On grass, on stone, on sand, on the beach, in the sea.Feel the blades of grass, the solid ground, the sand between your toes, the rhythm of the sea gently rolling along your feet.

Feel every contact with the earth as if you’re meeting her for the first time. Every barefoot step is a reminder that you are being held. Breathe in and feel. Be present.

There’s nowhere you need to be faster than where you already are. Let summer slow you down, open you up and soften your soul.

🇳🇱Vandaag is het warm, zacht. Het perfecte moment om je schoenen uit te doen en je voeten te laten ademen. Ik nodig je uit om de aarde onder je voeten te voelen.
Loop langzaam. Op het gras, op tegels, op zand, op het strand in de zee. Voel de grassprieten, de stevige ondergrond, het zand tussen je tenen, het ritme van de zee dat langs je voeten golft.

Voel elk contact met de aarde alsof je haar voor het eerst ontmoet.
Elke stap op blote voeten is een herinnering dat je gedragen wordt.
Adem in en voel. Wees aanwezig.
Je hoeft vandaag nergens sneller te zijn dan waar je al bent. Laat de zomer je vertragen, openen en verzachten.
