As we shared yesterday, today is this year’s Earth Overshoot Day. So we though this would be the perfect moment to share this movie with you.

We partnered with remarkable film maker
Lennard Blok and dutch artist Tim Hoekstra. And we are incredibly honoured for both their dedication to this project.

We share with Tim the love and respect for people and nature. As he says in the film: “We ARE nature.” That’s why when we get something, we need to give something back. So that we can continue this continuous cycle of reciprocity with our planet.

The interesting thing is that we decided to shoot this movie without a script. Lennard had never worked like that. “We’ll see what happens”. That’s the agreement we made with each other.

It was very cold and rainy at the day of the shooting. We had a chat with Tim for 2 minutes before he just shut himself off from everything.

He started walking on the beach and put a feather in the sand. This was his reference point. He worked tirelessly for about 12 hours. And at the end of the day, we got to see the result. And it was just magical.

Looking at his beautiful artwork triggered so many different emotions. Not just about Oxious but also about my personal life. I could just see in it what I had to do, what I’m here for.

This entire experience and also what came after it was very special. It moved and inspired all of us. It also showed us that wonderful, unexpected moments and encounters can happen when you just let go.

Vandaag weer een rondje met 500 bossen tulpen gedaan. Nu voor het personeel van ziekenhuis Westeinde in Den Haag en verzorgingstehuis Roomburg gesponsord door Cornerstone Vastgoed in Den Haag. Ben jij ondernemer en wil jij ook een vitale beroepsgroep in het zonnetje zetten. De tulpen mogen weg voor een klein prijsje en wij willen faciliteren. Iedereen bij!
