FIP was at the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) Congress last week in Barcelona, Spain🇪🇸! FIP CEO Catherine Duggan and vice president Rob Moss were on site engaging in sessions and valuable one-to-one exchanges at the FIP booth. They also had a productive meeting with EAHP colleagues, chaired by president Nenad Miljković, where we shared updates on governance developments since Copenhagen 2025, FIP’s work on return on investment for pharmacy services, the FIP Seal, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration with EAHP and European Council for Pharmacy Education Accreditation.

Did you know that Montreal is built around a hill called Mount Royal? It’s from this term the city received its name. The sprawling Mount Royal Park that occupies most of the hill at the centre of town was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed New York City’s Central Park. How do we ensure that every pharmacy educator, regardless of geography, feels supported by a global network? 🌐

Today, the Communication and Collaboration Working Group (CCWG) of the FIP Academic Pharmacy Section (AcPS) met to refine our strategy for member engagement. Our discussion focused on three strategic pillars:

📧 Seamless Distribution: Enhancing how we deliver critical content and updates to all AcPS members via "The Mortar Board" and our digital platforms.

🏆Member Recognition: Celebrating the achievements of our educators and trainers to inspire excellence across the profession.

🎗Network Support: Ensuring our members have full access to the expertise and collaborative opportunities within the FIP network to meet the needs of patients worldwide.

We are committed to increasing member visibility and providing clear leadership pathways within our working groups. Together, we are advancing the science of teaching pharmacy.
