The FIP-IPA Vaccination Training Project, a transformative initiative aimed at empowering pharmacists to be trained vaccinators, and strengthening the nation’s primary healthcare delivery, is currently training pharmacy faculty and students at the Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (VIPS), Rajahmundry.
After 2 phases of the Train the Trainer under this FIP-IPA Pharmacists' Vaccination training project, the training at VIPS marks only the second time such a prestigious training program has been organised for pharmacists in India, reflecting the growing potential and recognition of pharmacists as vital contributors to public health.
Under the expert guidance of Ms. Mansi Doshi and Dr. Raj Vaidya, along with their dedicated team, participants underwent comprehensive training encompassing online and face-to-face sessions, BLS certification, knowledge enhancement, and practical vaccination skills, which will be followed by competency assessment.
A proud step forward for the FIP, IPA and the host institute, VIPS, in advancing pharmacy practice and promoting public health through pharmacist-led vaccination! 🌍💉
