As technology becomes more embedded in pharmaceutical care, a central question emerges: how do we ensure that innovation serves people, not just processes? Lars-Åke Söderlund, chair of the FIP Technology Advisory Group, explores how Digital Humanism can guide pharmacy’s digital transformation and align innovation with FIP’s Strategic Plan for 2025–2030 (https://www.fip.org/file/6445). Read more in this month's International Pharmacy Journal (IPJ) issue: https://www.fip.org/publications?item=1041.

Is RSV Infection like any other cold?

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1D9xie5WLE/

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) often starts with cold-like symptoms, but it can be far more serious for certain people. Unlike a typical cold, RSV can affect the lower airways and lead to hospitalisation. Pharmacists are often the first point of contact for respiratory symptoms. Their ability to assess risk, provide guidance, and refer patients appropriately is vital in preventing complications and reducing strain on health systems.
