Dear Bluewave, congratulations on the achievement and joining the Worldcup. You've just made history!

You didn’t stand on the field alone, just like with AMA; not only did all of Curaçao stand behind you, but also the rest of your sister islands Aruba, Bonaire, Saba, St. Eustatius and St. Maarten. The islands celebrate this as one, and we will keep celebrating this!

Curaçao, you made history by qualifying for the World Cup. We may be small, but together we can achieve great things. We are proud of you!

The Caribbean Healthcare Weekend 2025 has come to an end!

Two days filled with connection, inspiration, and meaningful conversations about the future of Caribbean healthcare.

During CARE Caribbean, organized in collaboration with WeConnect, we brought together students, professionals, and employers for speeddates, inspiring panels, meetings at the career fair and networking opportunities. The plenary program once again highlighted that there is still a significant need for accessible and clear information about working on the islands: What opportunities exist? Where do you start? And who can you approach? It also shed light on the contributions that we, as the diaspora, can already make from the Netherlands and the needs that exist locally on the islands.

On Sunday, during our annual Caribbean Healthcare Symposium, we dove deeper into the content. Through powerful presentations, inspiring breakout rooms, and a lively panel discussion, we focused on one of the region’s most pressing health challenges: noncommunicable diseases and the role of lifestyle medicine in reducing or preventing NCDs. From Prevention to Empowerment.

It was a weekend in which community, healthcare, and the future of our islands were at the forefront.

A heartfelt thank you to all speakers, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who made this possible.Together, we continue building a strong, sustainable, and healthy future for our Caribbean islands. 🌴🤝💚
