🇳🇱Griep voelt vaak zwaarder aan als je zwanger bent. Je lichaam werkt hard, dus geef jezelf de ruimte om te herstellen.
Je lichaam kan griep in de meeste gevallen zelf oplossen.
🇬🇧The flu often feels more intense when you are pregnant. Your body is working hard, so give yourself the space to recover.
In most cases, your body can deal with the flu on its own.
What can you do yourself?
• Rest & warmth: Get cozy under a blanket and listen to your body.
• Fever? You may use Paracetamol 1000 mg every 6 hours (do not exceed the maximum daily dose).
• Coughing? Turn your head to the left or right when you cough. This way you use your oblique abdominal muscles and avoid straining the straight abdominal muscles.
• Call in sick from work: Give yourself time to recover.
• Stay hydrated: Especially when you have a fever.
When to call?
• You are getting increasingly unwell: consult your GP
• You feel the baby moving less
Take good care of yourself.
