Last week, IPSF represented pharmacy students and young health professionals at UNEA-7, the United Nations Environment Assembly, in Nairobi, Kenya. 🌍

UNEA is the world’s highest-level decision-making body on environmental matters, bringing together Member States, UN agencies, and Major Groups & Stakeholders to shape global environmental governance.

In this video, members of the IPSF delegation share their reflections from UNEA-7 — from what it means to attend UNEA as a pharmacist or recent graduate, to the environmental health issues that stood out most, key insights from negotiations and side events, and how youth can meaningfully contribute to environmental health advocacy.

Through these conversations, our delegates highlight the critical role of young health professionals in advancing environmental health, climate action, and sustainable development — and how the UNEA-7 experience will be brought back to their communities and IPSF regions.

As we conclude our UNEA-7 journey, we look forward to continuing these conversations beyond Nairobi — translating insights into action, strengthening youth engagement, and advancing environmental health advocacy across IPSF regions and future global platforms. 🌱✨

📢 IPSF is now calling for applications to join our delegation to WHA79.

The World Health Assembly (WHA) is the decision-making body of the World Health Organization (WHO), bringing together health leaders and policymakers from around the globe to discuss urgent public health issues, set policies, and shape the future of global health.

The 79th WHA will take place from 18 to 23 May 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland, under the theme: “One World for Health.” This is a unique opportunity for pharmacy students to engage in global health dialogue, advocate for the pharmacy profession, and represent the student perspective on international health policy. Delegates will gain firsthand experience in global health governance, and
participate in WHA meetings and side events.

🌍✨ World Human Rights Day 2025 ✨🌍

“Our Everyday Essentials” is the theme for this year’s Human Rights Day campaign. It aims to reaffirm the relevance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and its core values such as equality and freedom that shape people’s daily life every single day.

Human rights are often most at risk in times of conflict, displacement, or instability. Every day, we fight for these rights, but today, on Human Rights Day, we especially recognize their importance and how each of us can take action for those whose voices go unheard.

As pharmacy students and future healthcare professionals, we see how quickly access to care, safety, education, and peace can disappear — especially for children who cannot advocate for themselves. Protecting their early years strengthens entire communities.

Advocacy starts with awareness and empathy. Every voice matters and even small actions help uphold the rights we all share.

Swipe to read our reflections on why human rights matter!

Together, we challenge myths, confront stigma, and lead with empathy.
Together, we act. Together, we rise. Together, we end AIDS.

Every antibiotic has a story. It starts with healing, but can end with resistance if we’re not careful. 😷

As we continue our campaign, we’re taking you on a journey about the truth behind those tiny pills we often take for granted.

From the first prescription to the moment resistance appears, this story shows how small actions - in clinics, pharmacies, and homes decide the fate of antibiotics.🦠
