Océano Surf Museo in Valdeviño is like a short but intense love song to surf history in general – and Galician surf history in particular.

From blurry film shots of the past, self-made leashes and wax, and 1970s single fins, to an interactive barrel ride and a call to protect our oceans.

The friendly staff are happy to explain and help out. I’d say it’s a must-stop before you hit the waves.

(And a shout-out to all surf museums, big and small, for their dedication to surf culture 🤍)
