Our colleague Peter carried out a trial placement at a weekend care facility for children of Ipse de Bruggen in Naaldwijk. 💙
Within child care centers for clients with profound and multiple disabilities, different types of bed enclosures are commonly used. This is also the case at this facility.

At this location, the Novac Alert bed enclosure type 1500 is used frequently. As shown in the photos, the CloudCuddle fits perfectly within this bed enclosure.

Evy feels safe in the CloudCuddle. This story truly touches us.

“Since Evy has been sleeping in the CloudCuddle, she finally feels at home wherever we are.”
That is what her mother shares, with warmth and relief in her voice. But the journey for this family has not always been easy.
Evy is joyful, loving, and full of personality. But when she was little, something changed. Where other children kept developing, her progress slowed and sometimes even went backwards. After months of uncertainty and searching for answers, doctors finally gave the diagnosis. Evy has the Rett syndrome.

This syndrome is a rare neurological condition that mainly affects girls. After a period of seemingly typical development, skills such as speaking, purposeful hand use, and mobility begin to fade. Children like Evy often need support with daily activities, communication, and of course with rest and sleep.

Our Story

The CloudCuddle is designed for children with a physical or mental handicap. The night time away from home is one of the big complications that is encountered. Therefore the CloudCuddle was designed to ensure a safe sleeping enclosure where ever the family needs to go on holiday, a weekend to the grandparents or even an overnight stay at the hospital. The current market has enough products to offer this kind of protection at home, but the transportable version leaves much room for improvement. Existing options are too heavy, too big and too complicated. CloudCuddle offers a childfriendly alternative with a light and easy to use construction. Due to its inflatability it can be moved very easily, which makes it ideal for vacations or sleeping over at grandparents. It makes the everyday life of these families just that bit easier!
