The Human Voice Explained, my free podcast series where I'm sharing how the voice works and why it matters to everyone, is finally here.
Since our voice affects our quality of life in many ways every time we use it, and because quality vocal coaching reaches only a small portion of the population, my mission with this free podcast is to inform as many individuals as possible.
That's why I'm asking you to give it a listen, like/follow/rate it, and most importantly: Let me know if you think I can improve! Collectively, we can do more. Thanks!

In 2004, I first encountered physiological vocal technique: An approach to the voice that takes the muscles of our body and the sounds they produce as its sole components, respecting vocal traditions and aesthetics but rejecting their linear bias.
The implication of this struck me: It meant that we can learn to control every sound component of our voice, without having to stick to a particular way of speaking or singing: We can be flexible experts of the voice, using one technical framework to conduct a convincing sales pitch, sing an opera aria, whisper a jazz song, or shout on the sports field. Without the voice ever getting tired.
Every excellent voice out there turned from a utopian inspiration to a realistic, workable goal.
After releasing my first LP record in 2012, I felt that this technical framework had given me so much in the exploration of my signature sound as well as in massively boosting my presentation/stage skills: I had to spread the word.
This resulted in my first vocal studio opening in Berlin in early 2013. I started coaching individuals as well as groups, public speakers as well as singers, professionals and amateurs, from every age group and background imaginable. I also started working as a choir director and arranger.
In 2017, inquiries increased from my home country of the Netherlands, as a result of which I am currently sharing my time between Amsterdam and Berlin.
It is hard to coherently describe the wealth of information that the wide variety of public speaking cases, songs, and music pieces has given me. Today, I combine this experience as a vocal coach with with recent publications on vocal research to offer the unique framework my clients use to always find what many of them first though was impossible:
A voice that feels free and sounds right, no matter what.
