Louder for the people in the back!

The body doesn't want to be rushed.

More input doesn't equal a better outcome.

More input doesn't equal a faster outcome.

When it comes to the body, I have learned and witnessed over and over again that:

LESS IS MORE!

And the most transformation and AHA moments happen when I go slow, when I take time, when I give space, when there is a pause and the tiniest input. And if you dare to take that pause and listen, it isn't quiet.

That's when the body speaks loudest and you can hear clearly what had only been a wisper before.

Do you dare to do less? And what happens in that space?

This saying was introduced to me by a friend of mine.

It is exactly that, wherever you go, there is your nervous system.

Although sometimes it can be beneficial to us to change the workplace or relationship, if nothing has changed about how we relate to ourselves and the world around us, which comes down to the way our nervous system is wired, nothing will change.

We can change jobs, relationships, clothes, the place we live at, we can try to change our thoughts or behaviours as many times as possible...
..however if it doesn't address the autonomic nervous system, we end up in the same situations over and over again.

The wiring of your nervous system can't be cheated.

The power to transform lies within your nervous system. Are you ready to look within?

Everyone is talking about safety but sometimes in order to be able to recognise true safety you need to be aware of what feeling unsafe feels like.
You might be thinking: I'm fine, I have a great life. I don't experience stress.

Until you crash. Again and again.

You might be thinking: I don't understand how that could happen again, everything was going well yet somewhere along the way you've missed those signals from your body and ended up overwhelmed or burned-out.

The reason for this might be that you have gotten so used to that 'stress' that you don't even recognise it as such. Maybe the moment this 'stress' started was in utero and then continued afterwards.

So to even recognise that you are pushing, that you are going over your boundaries again it is important what that energy of fight, flight, freeze even feels like.

And then you might come to realise that the majority of your actions were rooted in unsafety and that's why you keep repeating the same pattern.

Just a bit over a week we finished our second intensive of the scientuitive training in Austria.

Before we went I was a bit apprehensive as I was travelling with my partner and two daughters. I didn't know how it would be for me to take part in this training and simultaneously having to take care of our 4 month old in breaks and night times.

Let me tell you that it was a full program for me personally however so worth it.

This trauma training was rich and made me forget the apprehension I had felt before. There was laughter, movement, play and education.

I've cried tears of grief, from laughter, joy, from release and from the beauty that a seemingly simple exercise of 'passing through' could touch me so deeply.

Bravo to everyone involved.

Thank you for having had this vision and bringing it to life. Thank you for a new way of looking at movement. Thank you to the rest of the team and last but not least to all the participants for the laughs we had and for the dances and conversations shared.

It was truly nourishing on so many levels.

P.S. our dog Lilu was very excited when we came back home she showed a bit of sympathetic energy of running around wildly ;)

9 month I carried you under my heart and then on the day I had my birthday contractions started in the early hours.
In the end little one decided that she wanted to have her own birthday ♥️

What a journey it has been. The process of giving birth has shown me again how the body-mind connection works.

The mind is very strong in getting 'in the way'. If that is in the context of healing or giving birth.

Only when I got back into trusting the process and getting back into my body and out of my head, which was thanks to my midwife, did it move along again.

How I supported my body and nervous system in the month before was through chiropractic care from , through a course which got introduced by my friend and instructor .embodied.emotions and all the nervous system knowledge I've gained in my with .

All of these things helped me to create more overall flow within my system so I was able to give birth in the safety of my home in a birthing pool.

The miracle of life amazes me everyday ✨️

As I come out of being sick and slowly having a bit more space again to be more online I'd like to share about the incredible time I've spent with my peers and her team.

What I took from this intensive is the absolute power for transformation every one of us holds within their body.

When we've built enough capacity to sense and we are able to connect to the environment and we are met with simple attunement (no agenda) then the body is able to just let go.

No trauma release 'technique' needed.

I call this POWERFUL!

Through connection (to ourselves and each other) we change the world.

Each one of us holds that key to create a more harmonious world.

If we all make a little ripple we can create a wave so big that nothing stands in it's way.

I'm forever grateful for this work, how everyone of my peers showed up authentically and held space for each other and for Irene and her team. 🙏

A theme that I see often in my clients especially when they're struggling with noticing their boundaries and setting them.

What they come to me with is a feeling that they don't quite recognise their boundaries easily, only when they're way over their threshold. They feel the stress but only when it's too late.

When I work with someone like that what I make them aware of is the discrepancy between their body and mind. The two parts are telling a different story. Where the body says: I am bracing and don't want you to come near, the mind says: sure let's do this and push through. Otherwise what am I doing here?

You see that if you are so used to listening to what your mind is telling you, the signals of your body will be pushed aside quite quickly without you even noticing that your body even gave a different signal. The reason why you are so used to listening to your mind and pushing aside your body's signals usually stems from an overwhelming feeling that was too much too handle when you were little AND had no one who held you, who was there and who co-regulated with you.
If there is enough repetition of a similar situation your body will disconnect from it and the mind takes over. This takes a lot of energy. It's at this point two opposites that are fighting against each other rather than working together.

So when working with boundaries it might be a first step to recognise that there even IS a discrepancy and mostly likely quite opposite signals. From there you can slowly build a bridge between body and mind so that they can work at their optimum together.

Boundaries!

One thing I have noticed time and time again in my practice is that most individuals struggle with recognising and setting boundaries.

The reason why this might be challenging is social conditioning, past experiences or a lack of self-awareness.

To cultivate a strong sense of boundaries in your personal, professional, or relational life, it is essential to recognise and trust your needs, allowing yourself to express them.

But what happens when you are unable to identify or articulate your boundaries and you find yourself in situations where they're being disregarded?
