Grace is a quiet strength that holds both the pain of what’s been and the hope of what’s to come. 🌿 It’s the ability to carry the hurt while still believing in healing, to honor the struggle while welcoming possibility. Grace doesn’t deny the wounds; it embraces them with courage and chooses to keep moving forward. 💛

Sometimes, endings are the first steps to beautiful new beginnings. 🌅 We all know that letting go can be difficult, whether big or small. In the act of letting go, often it opens up space for growth, transformation, and the arrival of something even better. Trust the process and remember that every ending holds the promise of new possibilities - even if it doesn't seem like it in the moment.

What have you let go of to make room for growth? 🌿✨

Neurospicy brains can go into a state of burnout quite quickly - it's quite normal.

Give yourself permission to rest.
Weighted blankets or sensory-friendly comfort items are wonderful! They can help us ground our bodies and minds.
Do regular check-ins with yourself. Meet and care for yourself where you may be.
Move your body in a way that feels good for you.
Reach out to safe people when you are ready.

Panic attacks are our bodies' way of processing and completing an emotion cycle. It's a way for our bodies to make space when it has been demanded to absorb and hold stress for a long period of time or a large amount it.

What can be confusing is that it can also show up in your body once the stress event/time has started to subside - the body almost feels like there is now space (and time) to make space. So, when things become less stressful than before or when you are starting to feel 'better', the body recognises there is less demand and so it allocates this space to completing the emotional cycle it started when things started getting stressful.

These are but a few superpowers of a neurospicy brain!! The narrative around neurodivergence in an ableist and neurotypical world has always been surrounded by the topic of "what is lacking" but why?

I'm here to add to the new and growing narrative - what are our superpowers? what about our brains adds benefit this type of world we live in?

What are your neurospicy superpowers? 😎✨

Neurotypical social norms don't always serve the neurodivergent community. We are not neurotypicals so why do we hold ourselves to these norms?
Holding ourselves to neurotypical norms leads us to burnout, chronic exhaustion and dysregulation.

Listen to yourself and do things how you need them to be done, rather than how we think it should be.
Personally, I stopped taking copious amounts of notes and realised my memory is rather brilliant! Note-taking is overwhelming for me.
I say no without explanation when it feels too much to attend something.
I eat the foods that make me feel safe and good (yes, that includes no sauce for me! I am not weird or strange, it's just what I don't like)

As I often say to my friends and loved ones - YOU DO YOU, BOO! ✨🫶🌱

Emotional safety is the foundation of deep, meaningful connections. 🛡️
It’s that feeling of being seen, heard, and accepted without fear of judgment or rejection or abandonment. When we feel emotionally safe, we can express our true selves openly and authentically - the easy, the lovely, the ugly, the messy.
To foster this in relationships, practice active listening, show empathy, and create a space where vulnerability is met with support rather than 'shoulds' or 'have tos', quick fixes and solutions or hurrying someone to feel 'better' or happy again. 🤝

How do you cultivate emotional safety in your relationships? What do you do that does not cultivate emotional safety?
