During , EFOMP President Efi Koutsouveli and Treasurer Jaroslav Ptáček met with members of the EANM Dosimetry Committee and the EANM Physics Committee.
The discussions focused on the ongoing work of our joint working groups and projects that aim to advance dosimetry, clinical practice, and education across Europe. These efforts further strengthen the partnership between EFOMP and European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), promoting shared expertise, innovation, and harmonized standards in our fields.

EFOMP President Efi Koutsouveli reports from Barcelona, Spain. 👇

I was very glad to be part of the opening ceremony of , yesterday in Barcelona, marking the 40th anniversary of the EANM - European Association of Nuclear Medicine.
Founded in 1985, just a few years after the establishment of European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics - EFOMP, EANM has been a cornerstone in advancing across Europe and beyond. Both EANM and EFOMP share a strong commitment to interprofessional collaboration and to empowering the next generation of scientists, researchers, clinicians in our fields. This shared vision was beautifully highlighted during the opening speeches by the Congress President Valentina GARIBOTTO and EANM President Paola Anna Erba.
No single entity can solve global challenges - Effective partnerships are built on this very foundation - sharing resources, technologies, training, skills, and knowledge to achieve sustainable development for all.
I am very much looking forward to the coming days, filled with a rich scientific programme and networking opportunities with colleagues and friends from around the world.

🤝 During the Annual Council & General Assembly of International Organization for Medical Physics - IOMP on the 30 September 2025 in Adelaide, Australia, EFOMP was represented by Jurgita Laurikaitiene (EFOMP Secretary General elect/ Internet Manager) and Iuliana Toma Dasu (Chief Editor of Physica Medica), where EFOMP highlighted its key priorities and main activities for regional organizations, strengthening collaboration in medical physics across EUROPE and beyond.
