Over 300 participants from 22 countries joined us in Gaborone, Botswana from 1-3 October to explore research, share experiences, and find new ways to strengthen HIV and adolescent health services.

What made this year’s edition truly special? It was the rare mix of latest research, practical experiences, and collaborative energy that filled the room. From local co-chairs and youth leaders shaping sessions and leading panels, to international experts sharing the latest findings, this workshop created a space where diverse voices came together like nowhere else! Across three days, conversations grew into actionable ideas and collaborations, all working toward better adolescent health, , and care worldwide!

A big thank you to everyone who joined, as well as our speakers, organizing team, partners, and sponsors. This workshop wouldn’t have been possible without all of you!

This week’s highlights an important aspect of care for people aging with HIV: long-acting HIV treatment. As treatment needs evolve over time, long-acting options may offer practical benefits, making daily management easier and helping maintain consistent viral suppression. From the opening session, it was clear this year’s meeting would be full of learning and lively discussion. Experts and attendees gathered to explore new research, exchange ideas, and address pressing challenges in across Africa.

The scientific program featured a wide range of topics, from epidemiology and diagnostics to innovative treatments and real-world clinical experiences, providing evidence to guide both research and patient care.

The collaborative sessions with leading organizations such as World Hepatitis Alliance, AASLD, and EASL - The Home of Hepatology also brought valuable global perspectives and enriched discussions that will continue to influence research and clinical practice.
