“I have started working with Balázs a bit more than a year ago. In total I have been training for more than 18 years intensively, 10 to 15 of which I had spent dealing with some kind of pain.
In the beginning I managed to ‘train around the pain’. Then when I started training for bodybuilding competitions about 10 years ago my shoulder started to act up. This I still managed to work around by avoiding certain exercises.
However, when I started Crossfit seven years ago I could no longer choose to avoid certain movements. I got more mobile and stronger but my shoulder pain and compensations just got worse.
I had visited many doctors, physios, manual therapists and chiropractors but no one could tell me what exactly was going on with my shoulder. Yet I could feel that something was ‘going wrong’ while moving. This had led to many years of stress and insecurities with regard to my body.
Balázs was my last hope in order to fix my shoulder. I learnt that my shoulder problems did not only have to do with my shoulder but that they originated from compensations in my entire structure.
