We’ve busted Earth’s budget. Again.
By today, we’ve officially used up nature’s resources for the year. From now until December, we’re living in ecological debt – depleting hashtag faster than they can regenerate, and emitting more CO₂ than nature can absorb.

At Eosta, we believe the food system must be part of the solution. That’s why we’ve committed to:
✔️ 100% organic farming – without synthetic inputs
✔️ True Cost Accounting – showing the real impact of food
✔️ Reducing CO₂ emissions – 60% less in 3 years
✔️ Supporting fair, regenerative and water-saving agriculture

Let’s move the date. Every bite counts.

Eosta recently visited our citrus and grape growers in South Africa—not for audits, but for real conversations about sustainability, guided by the 🌸 Sustainability Flower.

Some inspiring highlights:
✅ Carpe Diem is scaling regenerative grape farming with cover crops and no pesticides.
✅ Orex Farms supports 2,000 staff with childcare and schooling for families.
✅ Groenheuwel powers its farm and the grid with a 1.2 MW solar plant.
✅ SOGA shows that organic citrus can thrive—even in conventional regions.

These visits are about more than fruit. They’re about shared values, fair systems, and a healthier future—from soil to shelf. 🌱

Our Organic Raingrown Avocado was awarded winner in the Fresh Produce, Dairy & Ice Cream category of the Bioproduct of the Year 2025 competition (Netherlands), during the Bio Network Dinner on 5 June. A wonderful recognition, based on 50% consumer votes and 50% jury evaluation.

We’re proud of this unique product – and especially of the growers who, in a market dominated by large-scale, anonymous avocado production, consciously choose organic and fair. A sustainable choice that keeps inspiring

Save Water with Every Organic Lemon! 🍋🌍💧
Did you know that per organic lemon, 2 litres of water is saved, compared to conventional ones? If all lemons worldwide were grown organically in 2023/24, we could have saved a staggering 14 billion litres of water — enough to cover the daily drinking water needs of 190 million people! 💦

And it doesn’t stop at lemons. 🍊🍊 Organic oranges, grapefruits, and mandarins also contribute to water conservation thanks to healthier soils and more efficient water use. 🌱

Choosing organic isn’t just about what’s on your fruit — it’s about how it’s grown and the planet it protects. 🌎 https://www.eosta.com/en/news/overseas-bio-citrus-2025-opportunities-and-shortages

Sustainability in Action: South African Grower Visit 🇿🇦🌿
What does true sustainability look like beyond the buzzwords? We recently visited our growers in South Africa — and they are showing the way.

From implementing regenerative farming techniques to investing in their workers’ wellbeing and local communities, these growers are showing what it means to put people, planet, and profit on equal footing.

It’s not always easy — climate challenges, market pressure, and social inequalities remain — but these farmers are rising to the occasion with courage, innovation, and care.

At Eosta, we believe sustainability is only real when it's visible, measurable, and rooted in practice. That’s why we share these stories — because behind every organic fruit is a grower making a difference.

In 2024, Eosta started offering Fairtrade organic certified avocados from Kenya – creating fair opportunities for -scale farmers.

🌱 Today is the International Day of Peasant Struggle.

On this day in 1996, 19 farmers in Brazil were killed while peacefully protesting for something very basic: fair access to land, water, seeds and the right to grow food.

Sadly, that struggle continues. Around the world, small farmers still face land grabbing, unfair trade and climate injustice.

And yet—they are the heart of our food system. Without them, no food. No future.

At Eosta, we stand for organic, fair and sustainable farming. Not just for the planet, but for the people behind your food.

Because every avocado, mango or piece of ginger tells a human story. 💚

Doing good isn’t just about big actions—it’s about the choices we make every day. One of the most powerful choices? What we put in our shopping baskets.

Therefore, we’re calling attention to the need for fair pricing in supermarkets and foodservice. Behind every “cheap” product, there’s often a hidden cost: to farmers, to the environment, and to future generations.

It’s time to recognize the true price of food—and to reward those who grow and sell it with care, fairness, and transparency.

Today is World Parkinson’s Day, and so we would like to shine a light on the growing body of research linking Parkinson’s disease to pesticide exposure, especially in agricultural settings. Behind every piece of conventional produce, there’s a hidden cost: not only to nature, but to the health of farmers and communities.

That is why we proudly support growers like KUZA Farms in Tanzania. KUZA produces Organic RainGrown avocados with respect for people and planet—free from synthetic pesticides, nurtured by natural rainfall, and rooted in fairness.

Every avocado tells a story. Let’s choose one that supports health, dignity, and the future of farming.
