I don't know about you, but many of my thoughts, perceptions and opinions about what I am experiencing are not very helpful in the moment I am actually in.😂
And I know I'm not alone.🙏

That's why I decided to make this video to those who are struggling with thoughts and emotions that are making them feel overwhelmed and stressed.

Maybe these simple Mindfulness exercises can be helpful to you, or someone you care about.🥰

I'm so grateful for everything Mother Earth has taught me. Being Mindful with nature has blessed me with a lot of wisdom. I hope that by sharing this, it'll be a reminder of the wisdom that we are all a valuable part of.💚

Our love lives only through our presence.

I’ll be honest. I don’t know about you. But I don’t live in a perfect relationship. Sometimes I think my husband and children are really annoying and stubborn.🙄
The «funny» thing is that they think the same about me.??😳😅
And I’ve been teaching in communication, emotional regulation and mindfulness.
😂🤫

The point is, that we need to make a conscious choice together to nurture our relationships. Because loving and caring relationships have a very important impact on our health.

That’s why I want to share a simple exercise that you can do with your partner, children or someone else you care about. But, first some self-reflection questions.

How can we learn to cultivate our personal coherence?

And how do we increase coherence in intimate relationships to reflect a loving relationship?

I believe it's important that each individual invests their time in inner work.

And that both partners in the relationship invest time in being together, and create a loving space that feels like home. A safe place where we can be loved for who we are.

In relationships to those we love we can choose to be present and express through eye contact, body language, smile, gentle touch (no words):

I am here for you and with you. Are you there? Present, with me?

No words. Just being. Looking each other deep in the eyes with an open mind and loving and compassionate heart.😌🙏💚

Holding each other's hands tenderly. Feeding each other's souls. While an inner gentle voice whispers:

I see myself in you. I see you in me. I see and feel us in this precious moment. We are here. Creating a moment of Oneness. Breathing together. Being together.

We can all practice this simple exercise with people we love.
I like to call it a Mindful Compassion exercise.
(It can also be a beautiful visualization exercise).

All it takes is 1 minute of daily practice (or more)😉.
We all deserve to feel the interconnectedness and love which we are all a valuable part of.

Choose love💞
Breathe love💞
Be love💞

When we practice mindfulness we do it without expecting anything. We observe what we experience in the present moment with an open, non-judgemental mind. We don't try to change anything. Instead we try to accept what is.

In the beginning it can be really challenging. The mind and body scream for attention. And often we have patterns of behavior where we are used to fight or flight the things that are uncomfortable.

With mindfulness we learn to observe things that we haven't paid much attention to. But it's there. And it doesn't disappear. We can't escape ourselves. But, we can learn to listen to our needs and give ourselves the love and care we deserve.

Practicing mindfulness and self-compassion over time will teach us to settle when it's wise to settle and move when it's wise to move.

With Mindfulness you GET to know yourself and how to navigate your life in a way that makes you more calm, caring and loving both towards yourself and others.

Another important value we practice in Mindfulness is gratitude and generosity. There are many studies that shows the positive effects this has on both our mental and physical health, and our relationships to others.

Moment by moment. It's all part of the journey. Every moment is a part of being alive.

Be in this moment. Watch it. Feel how it affects your breathing and how your beautiful heart is beating.💚

Thank you to all of you who’ve been, and still are a part of my journey. You’ve all helped me learn valuable lessons.😌🙏💚

And last, but not least - thank you God for always being there, even when I felt I was alone, you where always there, loving me, waiting for me to wake up.

I will live moment by moment, in gratitude for the life you have giftet me. Reminding myself every day why I am here.

I will choose to look for the good you’ve created, and share and be the best I can be.

We love them so much, our children. And we want the best for them. We often want them to have what we didn't have. And preferably avoid making the same mistakes we did.
And nothing hurts more than when our children are in pain.

But what happens when we love them soooo much? And at the same time we are afraid that they will get hurt, and that we can't always protect them, give them what they want?

Well, if you are like I was, you go all in. You try, too hard, too much. And when that doesn't work, what are we left with? Children that are still hurting, while we are feeling more/less ....... and guilty.

If you can relate, it's okay. It's okay to not always feel okay. And to accept that we don't have all the answers. We are not always going to DO perfect. But, we should always try to BE real, honest and authentic. And how do we do that best?🤔 When we strive or thrive? Think about it?😉

Search for more knowledge and try new ways to communicate and be the best parent you can be for your children. We can always learn. As long as we don't do too much.
And maybe before we do it all, maybe we should invest our time to be more present, and ask our children, what do you want us to do today? Maybe they think, feel and want something else then we think they think, feel and want?😂Maybe they don't want to do anything. Maybe a small, kind gesture would bring a smile to their face. Maybe that's enough in that/ this moment?

If you are a parent, who is struggling. I just want you to know that you are not alone. Please be kind towards yourself. Support yourself. Remind yourself that you want the best for your children. Show them that you love yourself too.💚🙏 Be a good example. And if you need support and help, just know that we all need help from time to time. Nobody's perfect. That's an illusion, that is only making us feel worse. And like everyone else, you deserve the support and help you need. Nobody was born into parenting. We are all here to learn.

Always remember that I am here for you. I support you and I love you! And I hope you love you too.🙏

Rejection from others is only a rejection if we believe it is.
So many of us believe it, unfortunately. Because we have experienced it in the past. And we are afraid it'll happen again.
I know it's not easy. I’ve experienced it myself. And I never understood it. I believed that there was something wrong with me. I wasted a lot of time and energy trying to do more of what I thought would make me good enough to receive love. It's sad. But, it's over, I've finally learned to set myself free and love myself.

Today I realize that it wasn't worth holding on to something I never had.

If you feel stuck in an unhealthy relationship. Know that you are worthy. Know that you are enough, that you matter, and that you should never strive for love. If someone rejects you, walk away with Grace, Self-compassion and Self-love. Move on. Cry if you feel like it. I have cried many tears. And instead of using your energy on trying to understand the people who are rejecting you, or holding on to negative thoughts, because you are afraid, or wanting to pay back. It's not worth it. You are worth more than all this negative energy. And you can create the energy you want. Instead invest your time to understand yourself.😌

Breath, go for a walk, meditate, pray, write, ask yourself what kind of energy do I want?
And what can I do to create this energy within myself?
Instead of trying to push the pain away, or escape it, which will eventually turn it into suffering.
You can choose to be self-compassionate towards yourself. This will give you the strength you need, and deserve to be with the pain, observe it with an open, compassionate heart. This is one of the great gifts you can receive by practicing mindfulness.

It’s such a relief when you allow yourself to observe that you have pain, but you ARE not the pain. And with patience and compassion experience that you are able to let them be, and with time maybe even let them go. You can imagine the pain being dark clouds that are passing, and when they do, you can feel this calm, lighter energy inside.

I’m still engaged in mental health. But Mindfulness is a better description of what I do, and who I am.🤗

Mindfulness helps me have and maintain a good health. And it also helps me help others have and maintain a good health.💚

I want to thank everyone out there in the mindfulness community who are sharing the knowledge, the practice and wisdom of mindfulness.

Happy Monday!🤗

Last Saturday Dr. Renee Mudrey and I had a workshop for parents and teachers.

The purpose was to provide them with emotionally relevant knowledge as they transition back to school.

In the workshop, we learned about emotional regulation, stress management, and mindfulness. And we also reflected on the importance of having a Self-Care practice.

Time flew and we didn’t get to share everything we wanted.😂 But, we are planning more workshops and courses in the near future.

Meanwhile I share a couple of exercises that I’ve created. You can do them together with your children. They can help empower them, build their inner confidence and resilience.

I hope they will be valuable to you and your children.
