Who else really gets into cold plunging when the weather gets warmer? I certainly do!

Sleep better by thinking about these three things.

Light - temperature - stress

Build as big of a light contrast as possible in terms of intensity and spectrum between your day and night environment. Bright light and Broad spectrum helps elevate serotonin, reduce inflammation. lowered inflammation and increased serotonin help with melatonin production when you dim lights in the evening to under 10lux.

Create a difference in temperature between day and evening and allow your core body temperature to cool before going to bed.

Lower your stress levels in the evening to allow the parasympathetic nervous system to take over and reduce cortisol inhibition of melatonin.

Think about those three things and implement changes to see how much better you feel.

Cold therapy plus red light therapy - a good combination? It would appear so!

Doing cold therapy or getting an area cold before shining red light appears to allow the light to shine deeper into the tissue.

So pairing your cold therapy with red light doesn't just mean you are benefiting from the cold and red light improvements, it actually means that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts!

Red light and cold therapy are great by themselves, pair them up occasionally and things might get even better!

Uvb - the wavelength that allows you to synthesis your own vitamin D is almost back in Norway!

Now it can only get through the atmosphere to ground level when the sun is high enough in the sky so that it has a shorter path (less atmosphere to pass through) to the ground.

At first it will be short duration and still weak. If you are sensitive to the sun, its the perfect time to build your solar callus. If you have darker skin - you need it more time in the sun than others, so its never to early to start when UVB is present.

Sleep isn't important right??

One disrupted night won't hurt? Is it time to think again?

The fact is one disrupted night begins a cascade of effects that lead to reductions energy expenditure, cortisol, leptin and ghrelin changes, insulin sensitivity and things just get worse there. Just think that poor sleep leads to you wanting to eat more and not feeling full, but at the same time not wanting to move as much and having a worse ability to deal with the food your are eating 😅

Is the odd night going to have serious deleterious effects, probably not if you are consistent for the rest of the time. Just be informed and decided whether your late night is worth it - sometimes it will be!

Being informed is being empowered. Sleep well everyone 😴💤

8+ years of using red light therapy in Norway - is there anyone out there in Norway that has used it longer??

I have learned so much in that time, read so much research, gained a deeper understanding of the function of RLT and how to use it best for different goals.

I loved it so much that I set up my own company many years ago with the aim of helping Norwegians cope in this climate!

I have subsequently helped thousands of Norwegians with light therapy and tried to help teach the differences in how to utilise red light therapy for different reasons. How you use red light therapy for skin rejuvenation ve osteoarthritis of the knee is very different and requires different things - no one in Norway is talking about that and offers guidance. My business was set up to genuinely help people by offering the product and the service to help. I hope that comes across in what I do!

All the while I'm still teaching people that red light therapy is add-on to natural light therapy, not a replacement.

WiFi and other non-native EMF - they are completely safe, right?

What do you think? You've been told they are safe and have no effect. What if they did harm you, or at least effect you. Would you change anything?

Perhaps you can try turning off your smart devices? Your WiFi at night? Don't have your phone in your bedroom.

Try it for a week and see how much better you feel because, hint...... It does have an effect on your body!

Remove them and remove that potential stressor on your body!
