Our Story
Restorative Yoga is therapeutic form of yoga where, through active and passive exercises we work deeply with the nervous system. And through long , quiet sequences we open to activate our parasympathetic system so the body can heal itself. We spend several minutes in the poses and use several pillows, blankets and blocks to support so that we help the body help the to get into the relaxed state . This form of yoga may in many ways be seen as a self massage when it comes to the physical effect of the exercise. The sense of physical well-being can also make one more vulnerable and that's okay. We are given space to really sense how we feel in the body and if one has gone through a difficult period and one might have neglected themselves it is natural that feelings that the body remembers but which we have forgotten can come up to the surface.
