I (Crow) am unwinding a chunky core spun llama yarn in order to re-card the wool, spin it into a thinner single and ply it with an Angora single she dyed using red currant skins and citric acid mordant. My boyfriend and long time supporter of our atelier bought that, some plied alpaca yarn, and when the shopkeeper heard that I drop spin, they gave him extra wool of both kinds to give me, gratis!

I am using an improvised finger distaff, dressing the wool around one of my clay sculpting tools, using the cord on which it was core spun. Waste not, want not, my friends. Stay spooky. 🖤🐦‍⬛

I made a memorial picture of Hex using AI tools, which I then edited in GIMP.

Prompt: single male red eyed albino Angora rabbit, wearing Bunad, standing on hind legs, chewing dandelion leaves, in a field of dandelions

I couldn't get it to make him chew the leaves to save my life, but it was close enough. I took it to Gimp and made necessary alterations as seen below. He still isn't wearing a bunad, but he looks dapper and Norwegian-adjacent.

Hex left us this morning to join his brother, Jinx. He made it 11 days past his 4th birthday. I sang to him from Hønefoss to the university veterinary school in Oslo, and we told him what a good bunny he was, and how much we loved him.

We will be planting tulips and other flowers around them (we interred Jinx's ashes in his brother's arms.) Please consider making a donation to your local animal shelter.

Rest in peace, my familiars, our boys.
