This was the beautiful energy of the clouds last night as my husband and I sat on our balcony overlooking the fjord.
Constantly shifting … Remembrance.
This is ultimately the Practice.
Everything I try to share through movement, breath, stillness & rest …. Trying to slow down just a little as often as we can throughout the day , simply to Remember.
Pause to breathe and feel.
To tune in to what is important . What really matters?
Why?
And then learning, trying to be gentle and loving with ourselves.
That’s the Practice.
Starting with ourselves first & then rippling out our love, light & energy to others.

Ready to begin again …. We will practice on Tuesday’s and on Thursday’s at 5pm. Simple, practice where you will move, breathe, create, play and rest ! Come find a little space for stillness where you can begin to remember …… simply breathe & listen . Be gentle with yourself.

Yoga does not have to be on the mat.
My practice this summer has not included using my "yoga stuff" at all .....
We do not need fancy, expensive or particular items. Not really.
Yoga is a state of Being.
It's about how we respond to situations, people, conditions etc.
It's about zooming in & zooming out from our experience and seeing things from a new perspective .... it's about connection and acceptance.
Being with the Breath.
Which brings us to the Present Moment.
The most important moment .... The moment we actually have Now.

I have spent my summer with my family ... Sometimes we need to pause to remember what is important for us in our Life.

Precious Remembrance of what really matters .....

Looking forward to be with you all soon at Gurjinder Yoga & Art.

How do you begin your Sacred Pause?
What does that even mean for you ? Is it important? Necessary even ? For me …. It definitely is! I believe the gift of breath to be Sacred. The breath for me which carries, holds the wishes, prayers & miracles. The Prana, the Lifeforce is carried by the flow of breath.
Breathing in Gratitude & breathing out Love.
Forgiving myself for something I could have approached from another perspective.
Setting an intention for my day ahead .Sitting in Silence. Listening. to the whispers.
Grateful for this Day.

We will move,breathe, meditate and create a little magic! Connecting through playful movements and mark making .

This was meditation practice for me this morning.
I was so grateful that we had some blue sky & some sunshine today.
But clouds too … I simply breathed slowly and observed. There was nothing much to do …. The clouds, the view was like a mirror … A mirror reflecting what was happening in my mind. Constantly seeing something new, different. Thoughts, opinions, perspectives shifting. Like the clouds.
The clouds were a big representation of life for me today . Learning to soften the edges and let things go …. Making space above & below….
Things come and go … morph and disappear/ shift . We simply have to soften & allow . Not always easy…. But we try . Again & again. And then I wondered .. where in fact do thoughts or clouds go ??? Nothing disappears exactly, I don’t think! It just transforms into something new !!! Different type of energy. Take care & have a beautiful day! With love ❤️.

Prayer.Ritual.Connection. This kind of pause in your day can be at any moment. There is no set time …. Not really.
Any time we have the desire or call or even the need to stop … to remember.
Time to remember what is important.
What kind of pause, or breath will help you shift or shake off that heavy feeling or stagnant energy? This morning, I prayed.
I cried. In gratitude. I gave thanks for all the blessings in my life of which the list is endless!
But sometimes I too forget!!
The altars around my space consist of many different things, little touchstones that comfort me. Things from my childhood, gifts from loved ones. Things from nature. The items are for me a key , a link to something bigger .They help me remember who and what I am underneath all the stories in my head!!! This altar has a special mala that my father gave me , the incense holder is from my mother … I have a picture of Guru Nanak, a beautiful Bhudha statue from Singapore, my Ganesh statue made by an artist I met in India & then my little ghee filled diva light.

That’s all I feel like practicing lately.
Deep rest and restorative yoga .
Really gentle, slow stuff.
Stuff that holds me just as I am.
Simple, powerful practice of stillness, silence and deep rest. This is not easy with all the noise. The constant chattering of info , good, bad and sad .. enveloping us. For me rest is the practice I crave the most at this time .
How about you?
What is your body, mind & heart asking for ? Take care and listen …. It’s ok to be still . It’s ok to rest . To let go .. & just witness the breath . Soften a little more . No force & no rush . There is nothing you have to do … for a little while at l least. That intentional pause is crucial for our wellbeing.
