I get feedback every single day from people who tell me about improved health after reading The Pulse Cure. As a doctor, it is incredibly rewarding to hear that the message is getting through. A proactive attitude towards strengthening one's own health will bring huge benefits both for the individual and for society as a whole:
– The Pulse Cure has given me tools to regulate and balance stress. I now make more conscious choices when it comes to sleep, food, meal rhythm, exercise/activity, alcohol, rest and recovery. It has given me better health and quality of life.
– I have learned not to eat too often. Whole, plant-based food has little impact on stress. Ultra-processed food has a big impact. Alcohol too, but one unit is OK. Breathing and meditation exercises work brilliantly.
– I always thought I got tired of having people around me, and thus withdrew and was alone a lot. It turns out that I actually recharge more when I'm with close friends than when I’m alone. This knowledge has enabled me to change my mindset.
– For me, who has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, a smart watch is a good tool at work to adjust my activity level. The most surprising measurement I've had was when I gave a talk to a class in high school. As I was talking, the watch showed very low stress all the time.
– I was initially very skeptical of heart rate monitors, but gradually I have almost become an ambassador for them. The heart rate monitor gives me a certain overview of how my body is doing, and what considerations I should take when it is not doing so well.
– So simple and so valuable! Measuring the body battery should be as natural to us as checking the battery on the mobile phone. Comparing how you feel with what the body battery on the watch shows is a useful tool for becoming more aware of your own health.
– My most important advice to you who are about to start measuring: Don't start if you can't stand the truth and are willing to make changes. Then you are happier ignorant. If you want to make changes, measurements are your best compass.
