Labrida AS manufactures and sells patented technologies for safe and efficient maintenance of peri-implant disease and periodontitis.

Labrida is developing and marketing a chitosan (biomarine) based medical device, for professional cleaning of dental implants and teeth. Labrida BioClean® is a CE-marked, patented chitosan brush used by clinicians and dental professionals for maintenance of dental implants and/or teeth. Labrida BioClean® is sold to dental clinics in several markets in Europe. Through a milestone distribution agreement and partnership with Straumann (www.straumann.com), Labrida expects to face substantial growth in distribution and sales of Labrida BioClean® going forward. Labrida is a privately held company with 39 shareholders and holds its headquarter in Oslo, Norway. Labrida AS is ISO 13485:2016 certified.

An implant with an uncertain prognosis was cleaned twice with Labrida BioClean, once in November 2024, the second time in December 2024. By this non-invasive protocol, surgery was avoided and the implant was saved.

It is important to have effective strategies for non-surgical treatment of peri-implant and periodontal disease. Regular supportive care has been shown to establish stable conditions around both implants and teeth, thereby helping to prevent disease progression and protect long-term outcomes.
In cases where surgical intervention is not feasible, non-surgical treatment devices play a valuable role in managing the condition.
