We’re thrilled to share that our recent AI Workshop brought together 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 15 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 who dove into the world of vibe coding and explored how AI can be used to develop apps and websites.

💡 𝐈𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 30 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬, participants went from idea to reality – building and deploying several MVP websites with the help of AI. The energy, creativity, and curiosity in the room were inspiring!

This week, the Global Shapers Oslo Hub had the pleasure of joining the Find Your Community event here in Oslo, where we connected with hundreds of amazing people who share our passion for creating positive impact. 💡🤝

From engaging conversations to new collaborations, it was energizing to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm for shaping a better future together. 🚀

A big thank you to everyone we met — we’re excited to keep building momentum and working on projects that make a difference here in Oslo and beyond. 💙 And also a big thank you to Rafael Rodrigues, Akshat Jain and Mariann Moe Wiese for representing our hub and sharing our vision with the participants!

🚀 Exciting News from Global Shapers Oslo!

We are proud to announce the new leadership of our hub! 🎉
Rafael has officially stepped into the role of Curator, and Ahmed will serve as our Vice-Curator for the upcoming term. We are thrilled about this new chapter and excited for the journey ahead under their leadership.

For those who may not know, Global Shapers is an initiative of the World Economic Forum – a network of young people driving dialogue, action, and change. Our mission is to create positive impact at the local level, tackling the most pressing challenges of our time through community-driven projects and collaborations.

We look forward to continuing this mission and making Oslo an even better place to live, work, and thrive. 🌍✨

A couple of weeks ago we had our Nordic & Baltic kick-off meeting, where shapers from the Global Shapers Oslo, Global Shapers Copenhagen, Global Shapers Malmö, Global Shapers Helsinki Hub, Global Shapers Reykjavik, Global shapers Tallinn, Global Shapers Stockholm, Global Shapers Riga!

We welcomed the Tallinn hub, heard all Impact Officers highlight projects running in the hubs and set start to cross-hub collaborations, gave input to the Shapers at the Annual Meeting in Davos and learned more about the retreat in Helsinki on April 11-13.

🌍 Climate Fresking 🌍

Last December, Rafa, Liv, Ahmed, Martin and Amalie from the green project team took part to an online Climate Fresk workshop, one of the most efficient ways to explore and visualize climate issues. We ended up with a better understanding of the impacts of climate change and had the opportunity to share ideas on possible solutions.

This is just the first step in our journey to educate young people on the science and the impact of climate change, as well as encourage open and positive conversation about climate change.

Some highlights from the past months: attending the Climate Reality Leadership training in Rome along with other shapers 🌎

There he got to learn how we can advance practical climate solutions across sectors and create a clean energy future for the continent with former US Vice President Al Gore, thought leaders, scientists, and experts in Rome.

Protecting the Planet is a priority for Global Shapers. Thanks to the generous support of Rosamund Zander and The Climate Reality Project, Global Shapers can attend Climate Reality Leadership Corps Trainings, as well as access hub project ideation support and grant funding to implement practical climate solutions in their city.
