The team, formed during their first year at the Master’s program in Entrepreneurship at OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University and focuses on reducing website and software emissions to create a greener digital world.

Reflecting on 2024, we’re excited to highlight the incredible journey and milestones we’ve achieved.

It has been a year of growth, collaboration, and progress for Gründergarasjen. From welcoming new startups and hosting impactful events to forging strategic partnerships and launching innovative programs, this year has truly been remarkable.

We grew our incubator to 17 members, collaborated with 50+ students, and launched programs like the South Zero Accelerator in Holmlia. Our summer program supported 18 student entrepreneurs across 10 projects, while other innovation services connected academia and business. Highlights included a packed Oslo Innovation Week with NORA, events with SEFiO, and OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University and Kristiania joining as co-owners, strengthening our community.

We are grateful for the support and collaborations that made 2024 so impactful. Special thanks to our startup members (you know who you are), our academic partners OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University and Kristiania with Marianne Aasen, Carl Christian Thodesen, Tove Rømo Grande, and Jens Barland, Siva SF with Eirik Lysø and Grethe Johnsen, and Oslo kommune with Morten Fraas and Øyvind Såtvedt.

Here’s to a 2025 filled with new activities, achievements, surprises, and learning experiences.

Inside the Garage: Meet Catchwise 🔍

Catchwise helps commercial fisheries become more efficient and sustainable using modern web technology, big data, and AI. By analyzing vast amounts of open data, they guide fisheries toward better areas to fill quotas.

💭Why did you decide to start Catchwise?
We began working on sustainable fisheries during a hackathon with NORA – The Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium and partners in 2022. After winning the competition, we knew we had to start Catchwise.

✅What’s your proudest achievement so far?
Hearing feedback from skippers that Catchwise is helping them make better decisions every day has been incredibly rewarding.

🔎What’s been the most surprising fact you’ve learned along the way?
That Norway delivers 30–40 million meals of wild fish—an eco-friendly, low-CO2 protein—every single day!

🏅What’s the next big milestone for your team?
We’re excited to reach 100 vessels using Catchwise every day—a number we’re rapidly approaching!

🎭How does your team stay connected and motivated?
We do walk’n’talks, eat dinners together, have regular social outings, and go on trips to meet the fishermen.

👥 What is the best thing being a part of Gründergarasjen?
The facilities acceseble to us as well as the other entrepreneurs and gründergarasjen that make out the community.
