Circling is a relational presence-based practice, where the point of focus is what is happening in the present moment in our connections with each other. There is no aim or agenda, no state or destination that we are trying to reach. We are just here, in the moment, together—welcoming and exploring whatever is present and arising between us.
We frame Circling as a “brave space” rather than a traditional “safe space.” By welcoming whatever is present in the moment, we invite radical authenticity and honesty; this means we may trigger each other from time to time, we may be faced with difficult or challenging emotions and themes, and there is no guarantee to how you will be received by the group. This does NOT mean that we are not willing to support each other—in fact, quite the opposite. We are committed to exploring connection, and we trust in the power and support that naturally arise from authenticity and presence. About our Leader:
Monique Johnsen: I am a therapist for more than 20 years, mother, grandmother and married to the same guy for 35 years. Yes, I am seasoned with focus on truth. No bu****it here. But lots of love, spiritual connection, humbleness and wisdom (so they say). As a couple therapist, my interest was always to unravel mysteries and now I am embarking on my next adventure - Circling training at Transformational Connection in London.
