Sandra Schneider spricht beim Equidemia Summit über Lerntheorie – klar, praxisnah und ohne Dogmen.
Seit 2004 arbeitet sie selbstständig als Pferdetrainerin mit Schwerpunkten im Anreiten von Jungpferden, der Arbeit mit verhaltensauffälligen Pferden und dem Training zur Gesunderhaltung.
2018 gründete sie die Akademie für ganzheitliches Pferdetraining, in der sie Trainer:innen im Präsenzunterricht ausbildet.

What I value most about Frauke Musial is the rare combination she brings to the horse world: deep scientific rigor and a genuine understanding of horses.
Frauke unites her passion for science and horses with solid, evidence-based research on equine behaviour and training. Through Science for Horse Lovers, she translates complex science into perspective-shifting insights – reminding us just how intelligent, social and sensitive horses really are.
As a psychologist with a PhD in biopsychology/neuroscience and a professor at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway, she stands firmly for controlled studies, peer-reviewed research and intellectual honesty. She is also editor-in-chief of a scientific journal.

Life-long horse rider Kate Farmer studied psychology at St Andrews University in Scotland. In the 1990s and 2000s, she worked with the American horse trainer, Richard Thompson, who made her aware of the fine details of equine behaviour and responses that are often overlooked but that can be of great significance to successful training. She became fascinated with the topic, especially laterality – the difference in equine brain processing and behaviour on the left and right. She began researching this scientifically with the help of Professor Konstanze Krüger of Nürtingen Geislingen University. Since joining Professor Krüger’s team, Kate has been involved in numerous published studies, mostly focusing on laterality and social learning in horses. She is the author of the Thinking Horse website, and has given courses in horse behaviour and training in Austria, the UK and Russia.

In this summit, Kate has been doing outstanding work.
She helped us as a scientific advisor, co-organisator and spekaer. In her lectures, she speaks about an overview of equine perception and brain processing, and how a knowledge of these can be applied in everyday horse training and handling, allowing us to "read" how the the horse is perceiving any situation. From this, we can adapt our own behaviour and approach to diagnose specific issues and make training stress free and successful as possible. We then look at the case of "Dolly" - a horse who has become very unsettled with the farrier, and follow the steps taken to find the root of the problem and rehabilitate her.

Vom Pferd aus gedacht – nicht vom Ego.

Pferde haben Jule früh den Weg in ein anderes Leben geöffnet: ein Leben näher an der Natur – und näher am Pferd. Schon damals war klar, dass ihre Arbeit mit Pferden nicht über Kontrolle, sondern über Beziehung führen würde.
Geprägt durch die Tellington-Methode und Horsemanship stand eines immer im Mittelpunkt: Pferde sollen sich wohlfühlen.

Wenn das gegeben war, entstand Raum – für Reitunterricht, für die Ausbildung junger Pferde, für Arbeit ohne Gebiss, ohne Ausbinder, ohne Druck.
Es folgten die Ausbildung zur Pferdewirtin und der Schritt in die Selbstständigkeit.
Ihr Weg blieb vielseitig: Sommer in Island als Guide und Trainerin, intensive Weiterbildung in klassischer Dressur, eine tiefe Verbindung zur Freiarbeit, fundierte Auseinandersetzung mit Lerntheorien – und immer wieder das genaue Beobachten von Pferden im Herdenverband.
