Juntional injuries can be quite tricky, and require lots of training to prepare for. It is not without reason we ran several on this years event.

The scenario we ran on this years was a FPV drone strike with two casualties.

Casualty 1 with massive facial injuries and severe bleeding from the neck.

Caualty 2 with massive bleeding from the groin and shoulder, with several lower priority injuries that did not bleed much.

Good times where had... but maybe not by all.

Back home after supporting with casualty simulations for one of their stations.

We had an awesome weekend, meeting a lot of good people. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

We will be supporting the NROF Medic Challenge 2025.

Do you want to see the teams struggle through a series of really challenging scenarios to see who comes out on top? We certainly do.

The event is open to spectators.

There will also be a vendors area for all your ticticool high speed low drag needs.

If you are interested in tactical medicine, or just first aid in general, you should really consider visiting the NROF 2025. The competition is held at Trandum Leir, right next to Oslo Airport Gardermoen on the 24th of May.

Lots of interesting scenarios, a good mix of teams and lots of cool gear.

Trauma shears:
While most of the trauma shears on the market looks quite similar (with some honorable exeptions), there are quite a big difference in performance.
The cheaper shears are too flexible and the axel rivet is usually not good enough. This means that the shears flex a lot when used, and as soon as you meet resistance, for example a zipper, the cheaper shears tend to get stuck when the zipper gets caugth sideways between the jaws.

Do not cheap out on your shears (and don't use them to cut open your cardboard boxes).
