🩸 Sanitary pads are something that millions use every day. But are they always safe?

At Zest Laboratories and Research Center, we’ve been testing sanitary napkins to ensure they meet health and safety standards. From 2020 to 2025, we tested 161 samples — and in 2020 alone, 1 in 5 pads failed to meet the required standards.

Some pads were found to contain harmful bacteria like Staphylococcus, which can cause infections and pose serious health risks.

Zest Laboratories & Research Center Signs MoU with Muktinath Krishi Company to Strengthen Research and Quality in Nepal’s Agri-Value Chain.🤝

Zest Laboratories & Research Center Pvt.Ltd (ZLRC) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Muktinath Krishi Company Ltd. (MKCL), a publicly listed company with a core mission to manage the overall agricultural value chain in Nepal. This strategic agreement reflects a shared commitment to advancing Nepal’s agricultural sector through scientific research, product development, and quality assurance.

The MoU brings together MKCL, with its deep-rooted presence in agri-business and value chain integration, and ZLRC, a research-driven entity based in Balkot, Kathmandu, specializing in quality assurance, product innovation, and applied agricultural research.

The partnership is grounded in a mutual objective to develop and expand business and technical cooperation, with a specific focus on: Collaborative research and product development, Quality testing and control,Expert engagement,And long-term project implementation.
